Hottest Fashion Designer for 2009 - Josh Goot
Josh Goot is "Smokin'" when it comes to hot fashion designers, and he is probably my favorite fashion designer. Not only is his clothing line carried by some of the world's leading boutiques; the clothes themselves are so simple and elegant, yet colorful. It makes one happy just to look at the clothes; and the way he layers the soft fabrics and colors hides a multitude of figure flaws.
You can see more of his designs at http://www.joshgoot.com. If you would like to see his upcoming fashions go to http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/designers.asp?page=2. These clothes are absolutely beautiful.
Hottest Fashion Designer for 2009 - Ashish Gupta
Mr. Gupta said that there were three things that inspired his new collection, and that was; depression era carnivals, the American Wild West and Liberace, and his creations show it. The clothes are created from soft, colorful fabric with lots of fringe and frayed edges. The Liberace part comes into play with his use of sequins. You can see more of his designs at http://www.ashish.co.uk or http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/designer.asp?page=2
Hottest Fashion Designer for 2009 - Bora Aksu
Mr. Aksu was born in Turkey, and moved to London 14 years ago. He has won Topshop's New Gen award four times. His use of fabrics is quite artistic. His clothes are layered without being bulky. I would say that most of his creations are for the younger, more trendy people, but he does have some designs that would go well with all ages, with different tastes. You can see many of his creations at http://www.boraaksu.com.
Hottest Fashion Designer for 2009 - Danielle Scutt
Ms. Scutt is relatively new to the fashion industry, but I have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot of her designs in the future. I love the way that she incorporates the look of a "collage" when you look at her creations. It is really quite tasteful. A woman with any fashion style can find a creation that she likes among Danielle Scutt's designs. Her clothes would please the contemporary or the modern woman, with a taste for the outrageous or a bit more demure. You can view more of her creations at http://www.daniellescutt.com.
Hottest Fashion Designer for 2009 - Todd Lynn
Mr. Lynn introduced his own label in 2006, and this is the fourth season as one of New Generation's designers. I love the sharp, crisp edges of his designs. They are elegant as well as trendy. His designs go well on women of all ages and taste.
His designs have been worn by different rock-stars, and are found in different boutiques around the world including Browns, and Maria Luisa. They are also available online at www.Net-a-Porter.com. You can also view his new line at http://www.toddlynn.com.
I don't know about you ladies, but I'm ready to go shopping!
