How to Add a Fringe Extension

Angel Vee
Men wear clip on human hair extensions? Why, not? Juts because you see the majority who wear these being women, who says men can't wear them too? Hair pieces are great for men who want to hide a scar, add volume, add length, cover up bald spots, or create a total new and wild look.

Some of the hottest men styles for 2010/2011 include messy ponytails, loose and wild, braids, mohawks, Retro, slick back, long and shaggy, Military, and even Emo or Scene. If you don't have enough hair to create one of these looks opt for the hair extensions. One hot look is the added fringe for men.

Fringe Application For Men

First decide on the color. If your hair is light brown to black blonde would look good or a multi highlighted piece. If your hair is already blonde, opt for a chocolate brown, copper red, or even black would look cool.

Size Of Fringe Needed

I would go for a human hair piece that is anywhere from 3-8 inches in length, and has two metal clips. The price can range anywhere from $8-30 dollars depending on retailer. You can use the synthetic ones to save money, but it wont look as real.

Style Fringe

Make sure the hair is smooth by using a flat iron, and part the hair to either side. Then using the end of the rattail comb make a section and push it back. Place the extension in, and clip both sides. Pull the hair you pushed back forward and blend it with fringe. Play around using your fingers until you have achieved your desired look. Spray lightly with hairspray if needed.

Ponytail For Men

Maybe you want that sexy slicked back ponytail that Antonio Banderas rocked for some time. Well, all you need is a few hair clip on wefts and your new style will appear. Just Google How to put hair extensions in on short hair, and you will get hundreds of great ideas.

Bold Highlights

No matter if you want to keep the hair short, or add a few inches highlights are a great addition. Buy a few clip on pieces cut and layer them to blend in with your own hair. Just make sure to hide the combs by pulling hair over them to cover.

If you don't have the 10 minutes to apply these, you can always go to a salon and pay anywhere from $100-$1500 depending on the extension method you choose.

Other ways a man can add texture or volume to their hair at home is to use texturizing wax, and your fingers. The fingers are the best tool when it comes to hair.
