Hottest Spring Trend: Butterflies

Tye
Spring is all around us and it is time to embrace the newest fashion trend, butterflies. The little colorful insects are fluttering all around the fashion world; from jewelry to shoes to apparel.

Designers like Collette Dinnigan, Diane von Furstenberg and Badgley Mischka, all showed off their Spring collections with flowing pieces of butterfly prints. Kymare's Spring/Summer collection of swimsuits has also adopted the trends. Stars and celebrities have been photographed with butterfly necklaces and pendants. Now it is your turn to jump in on the trend.

Finding wonderful butterfly pieces on a budget is fairly easy. Here are just a couple of hot items I've found:

You can glamour up a classic ponytail with a butterfly hair clip. This hairstyle is great for any occasion. Go straight from the office to the club and still look fabulous. The purple butterfly with glitter and rhinestones from Karin's Garden is just the accessory that you need for this look. For just $22, it is also affordable for any type of budget.

Every woman loves a great handbag. Two great handbags with colorful butterflies come from Land's End and Pearl River. Land's End is a reversible bag that is great for a walk on the beach or a night out with friends. It cost around $29.50. The blue $20.40 bag from Pearl River is versatile and sleek.

The options in butterfly jewelry are limitless. You can find something to accompany any type of outfit. The Home Shopping Network has an extensive collection of butterfly pendants, rings, bracelets and necklaces. Try a beautiful butterfly necklace from Forever 21 or a bold bracelet from Guess. One of my favorite pieces of butterfly jewelry is a pair of earrings for $19.99 from Emitations.

Cape Clogs, Pearl River and Havaianas are just some of the manufacturers of great butterfly shoes. No matter if it is clogs or a beautiful sandal; these shoes are a valid way to accessorize the perfect Spring outfit.

In apparel, try butterfly vintage tees and sundresses. Chicdowntown.com has a beautiful short butterfly dress that is cool and gives off a bohemian flair. The dress costs around $130, and is well worth it. For other butterfly-inspired fashions, check out the Spring lines of some of the top designers or your local JCPenny and Kohl's.

Butterflies are also making their way into the home in wonderful wall prints and home accents. Some of the chains that are specializing in these designs are Pottery Barn and West Elm. Colorful wall hangings will brighten up any room and you can get the feel of Spring inside the home.
