One of my personal favorites is the Beach at Mandalay Bay Hotel. It's a gorgeous setting, with plenty of seating and misters to help you stay cool. One of the grandest, manmade beaches around, Mandalay Beach covers 11 full acres in a tropical lagoon atmosphere. There are snack bars available with light snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. You can play on the sandy beach or float in the wave pool. Only hotel guests may gain entry and pool hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
For those that are a bit more daring, consider visiting Moorea Beach at Mandalay Bay Hotel. Admission is a bit pricey, but from what I've been told, it's a pretty awesome place to relax and get away from children and families. Escape to Moorea for only $10.00 if you're a woman any day of the week. Men will pay more, ranging from $40.00 during off peak nights to $50.00 on weekends. Hang out with other adults in a similar frame of mind. Enjoy topless, European sunbathing, with music, and full bar service between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Only hotel guests will be admitted.
If you're looking for a good place to chill, by yourself, and even enjoy a good book, then consider the Luxor hotel. You must be a guest of the Luxor to visit the pool area, but will find the pools less crowded during weekdays. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, a cover-up, and large hat because there is not much shade available.
The Flamingo Hotel provides a 15 acre paradise that includes four pools, a lagoon, and fun water slides. The pool does tend to get crowded, so you'll want to arrive early in the morning if you wish to get a lounge chair. Only Flamingo guests are permitted in the pools, however, they are not very strict at checking for room keys.
Still feeling a little naughty, but don't want to pay premium cover charges? If yes, then you'll want to check out The Venus Pool at Caesar's Palace. Enjoy European sunbathing with a special pool menu, music, and lively company. Only Caesars guests are permitted entry and the pool is open between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
