Hound Dogs Pizza - Best Reason to Attend the Ohio State University

Hounddogs Pizza is located at 2657 N High St minutes away from The Ohio State University. It is conveniently connected to the live music bar the Ravari Room, so pizza and a beer, no problem. Hounddogs pizza is the rock and roll pizza dream for anyone who dares to live it.

It is truly the only place to go for pizza in Columbus Ohio. The reason behind the rave is one simple, but oh so crucial thing...wedges. For some odd reason people in Columbus Ohio think that pizza should be cut in rectangles? I don't know where this idea came from, but it is just down right wrong. Hound Dog Pizza does not deviate from the way real pizza is made, they cut their Smokin Joes crust in wedges true to the old pizza pie norm.

Another reason Hounddogs is so unique is that it offers three different sauces. Hounddogs's is home to the 3 Degree Pizza. You don't have to settle for jut the plain old pizza sauce when you go to Hounddogs. You can live on the edge and try out three diffent sauces (actually four if yo count the white sauce).

The three delicious and delectable pizza sauces are as follows: you have your good old standard pizza sauce, the spicy ssauce for those of you who want a little kick (which believe it or not spicy isn't th hottest sauce available), and if you are a glutton for punishment we have the hotter then an Ohio State winning football season.

With three different sauces you would think pizza couldn't get any better, but it does. Hounddogs has two different crust options. There is the Smokin Joe's crust which is a hand-tossed thick pizza with garlic butter on the crust. There is also the Hounddog crust which is a thin crust. The downside of this hounddog crust, rectangles, yes I said it they do serve this one up Columbus style.

If you live on or near Ohio State campus and you haven't had a chance to check out the tasty goodness of hounddogs pizza I suggest you go as soon as possible. I recommend eating in because being in Houndogs resturaunt is the only way you can truly experience the pizza. One word of warning though. Hounddogs is not known for it's speedy service, but believe me once your smokin joes pizza comes to your table you will forget about the wait!
