Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer does not contain sulfates, synthetic fragrances or dyes, or phthalates. It's available at Sephora stores and most ULTA stores as well. According to Sephora's product description for Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer there are no chemical sun-blocking agents, and this primer is suppose to be water resistant. It also contains no fragrances or oils.
What I liked about Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is that it's made with natural minerals. The less chemicals I use on my skin the better. People often forget that makeup gets absorbed into the skin when it's being used. I really liked the clean satin-finish that I got from using this primer. I've only used it on my eyelids but it can be use all over the face too. It's not thick like Urban Decay's Primer Potion so I was a bit skeptical about the product but it dried almost as soon as it touched my skin. I could noticeably tell the difference between my skin with and without Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer.
What I've noticed about my skin when using this primer was that it created this flawless veil over my skin, and minimized my pores and any other flaws I had. It also created a perfect, clean, smooth canvas for me to apply makeup. I love the fact that Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer contains an SPF 15 too. Sun protection is an important step to keeping your skin youthful looking and preventing premature aging.
I've used Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer with all sorts of makeup. I've used it with some of my E.L.F. products, some more expensive brands and even some really cheap ones and I've definitely noticed a dramatic difference. With several of my eyeshadows I use to get heavy creasing and fading in a matter of just a few hours, but when I used it with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer these eyeshadows barely creased after eight hours. Even better, I didn't even noticed any fading.
The only downside to this Hourglass primer is that it cost $52. That's more than double what Urban Decay's Primer Potion cost. Of course, Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer can be used all over the face, not just the eyelids and a little bit goes a long way.
After having tried Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer I don't think I would go back to my old primers. I absolutely love this product and despite the hefty price, I would definitely consider buying this product. I highly recommend this primer if you're looking for an all over one.
