"House of Attitude": Detailed Summary of House of Anubis Season 1 Episode 2

Eliza Wynn
"House of Attitude" is episode 2 of Nickelodeon's House of Anubis. As one of the first five episodes, it was included in the movie that kicked off the show. In "House of Attitude," Patricia continues to cause problems for Nina, relationships and alliances are tested, and Victor's true colors are revealed.

Patricia demands to know what Nina has done with Joy. Her tantrum attracts the attention of Victor, who informs her that Joy's parents came and got her. Patricia is skeptical; she knows Joy wouldn't have left without saying goodbye or taking her phone and stuffed bunny. Victor takes them and promises to ship them to their rightful owner. He orders Patricia to clean up the mess she made of Nina's belongings, but she refuses and storms off. Instead of doing anything about Patricia's attitude, Victor informs Nina that supper will be ready in ten minutes.

Downstairs, Patricia whines that no one has Joy's home number. Amber thinks it makes sense, pointing out that Anubis House is her home. Patricia is mad about the way Nina is trying to replace Joy. She accuses her of being obsessed with being American, saying she mentioned it "like a hundred times." The chatter stops when Nina enters. Fabian greets her, and so does Alfie in his unique way. Nina starts to sit down but Amber stops her, saying that's her chair. It must not be important to her; instead of sitting down in her chair, she goes off to look for Mick. When Nina decides to sit down, Patricia gives her a hard time about trying to take other people's place. Fabian advises Nina to ignore her.

Amber is knocking on Mick's door when he jogs up behind her. Amber wishes he'd asked her to go along on the run, which makes him laugh about the last time she went with him. She reminds him that he didn't warn her about the sweating, but now she knows. Instead of going downstairs to the dining room with her, Mick decides to take a shower first.

When Alfie stuffs spaghetti in his mouth, Jerome flings some at him, starting a food fight. Patricia picks up the water pitcher and pours the contents on Nina. Fabian calls her out on it and helps Nina sop up the water. Patricia starts in on Nina again, asking when she's going to tell what she has to do with Joy's disappearance. She vows to get it out of her eventually. Victor arrives to inform Nina she has a phone call. He wants to know what's going on, and Patricia says Nina spilled water all over the place.

On the phone with her grandmother, Nina tries to pretend everything is fine, but she's crying. When Fabian sees her, she implies it's a cat allergy, but he says they don't have any cats at Anubis House.

Amber wonders whether Mick is over her. Mara tells her she's just insecure. Her flattery brings out Amber's vanity; she acknowledges how wonderful she is. Nina returns from her phone call, and Mick asks Fabian what he thinks of her. Fabian thinks she's nice.

Victor is grooming his stuffed bird when Patricia stops by to insist that he give her Joy's home number. Victor refuses but again promises to forward her belongings. Fuming, Patricia returns to the group. She doesn't understand why Joy hasn't called her. She just knows Nina has something to do with it!

After promising to forward Joy's belongings, Victor smashes her phone. At the same time, a fire is burning in the trash can, which contains the photo and the stuffed bunny. Victor is pleased with himself.

Mick stops by Amber and Mara's room to ask Mara for help with biology. Amber makes faces at Mara, trying to get her to refuse, but she agrees. After Mick leaves, Mara reassures Amber again.

Victor stands at the bottom of the stairs and announces that it's 10:00. In five minutes, he wants to be able to hear a pin drop. Mick rushes down the stairs. Alfie does the same, pointing out that he still has four minutes. Victor isn't amused. The big question here is why the boys are still allowed upstairs when Victor told Nina that they're all supposed to be in their rooms by 9:00. From what he told her in the first episode, they should all be in their rooms with the lights out by now. Also, why does he drop the pin immediately? Is he going to do it again in five minutes?

As Patricia brushes her teeth, she's stunned to see a message written in the steam on the mirror: "Help me! Joy."
