House Democrats Demand Clarence Thomas Recuse Himself on Obamacare Case

Snidely Whiplash
Could Congressman Anthony Weiner, Democrat, NY, have a more apropos name than Weiner? I guess Weasel would work too. From now on he's Congressman Weasel Weiner, Democrat, NY, to me. In what can hardly be characterized as little else, Weasel Weiner is sponsoring a move by 74 House Democrats to demand Clarence Thomas recuse himself from hearing any SCOTUS Obamacare review because he needs to be sure to "maintain the integrity of this Court."

Apparently the Weasel bases his demands on the fact Justice Thomas' wife Ginny worked for the Heritage Foundation, and as it was stated she "has experience and connections" with clients who'd like to overturn Obamacare.

I can't say I'm overly shocked by this. When it comes to levels to which some petulant lefties will stoop we know there is no such thing as "bottom." A snake's belly isn't even close to how low some of these clowns can and will go. Sub-basements only whet their appetite for going lower. The Fuhrer Bunker wasn't low enough for them. Methinks the natural end to their seeking bottom will be Hell, and that's fitting cause one can hardly go lower.

I wonder if all that stooping hurts their backs? It is said in many quarters this effort by Weasel Weiner, Whining Desperate Democrat, NY, is in retaliation for Republican's supposedly calling for Kagan to recuse herself because she was US solicitor general during the healthcare shoving down our throats.

Democrats have no one to blame for this but themselves. They allowed Pelosi to hold their feet to the fire despite the clear majorities demanding it not be passed, until most knuckled under and voted for Obamacare. Congressional Democrats should wear this one with pride but as the midterm election cycle demonstrated, in all but the left-looniest of districts they ran from their "yay" vote so "the first black president wouldn't be a failure." Isn't this that "sow the wind, reap the whirlwind" thingy I'm always going on about? Democrats sowed the wind; perhaps they should man up and deal with the results of their actions.

Not only did Democrats vote for a bill that many non-partisan legal scholars agreed was unconstitutional, but they did it over the screaming objections of their constituents in most districts. They turned their backs on their oath in supporting what they were cautioned was almost surely unconstitutional.

As my parting shot let me clarify something important here, strictly for pointing out yet again the progressive hypocrisy. Since when does a Justice have to step aside for their spouse's job? The call for Kagan to step aside is for HER job as solicitor general, not for a job her mate may have held. Based on this new found standard some whiners demand, Kagan having actively been involved in advocating for Obamacare isn't sufficient for her to recuse herself, but a long held job by the spouse of a Justice is reason for the Justice to step aside?

Again, is there a level to which some lefties will not stoop? If so, we've not yet discovered it.

It's pretty chauvenistic of Weiner to think that a woman can't have a professional career that extends beyond her husband.

I wonder if the same thing that happened in Egypt will happen here?

This isn't about a previous job, Ginny Thomas has started her own business lobbying for conservative causes. The Thomas's receive income, currently, from interests that can be directly affected by the Justice's rulings. This is as clear as "conflict of interests" gets!

Lloyd, I was going to included Clapper's asininity in my follow on Whippy Leaks article, but it got too long so I left his stupidity, or lies - you choose, out for the sake of article length. Perhaps tomorrow I'll write about brain trust Clapper, yet another of Obama's trusted minions/advisers. Like the entire Obama administration, Clapper is an epic fail.

The Weasel & Company had better start wondering and worrying about what's going to happen when the whole middle east implodes VERY SHORTLY and the Suez Canal and all the shipping ports are closed in the region. People are so worried about the cosmetics of their lives that they can't - or won't look at the fact that the world is fixing to blow up in their faces. The whole of our government has their collective head buried in the sand of stupidity to stop or deal with what is happening right now. The best we have to offer is Clapper? Hillary? Obama? Reid? It's a good thing the U.N. is going to save the world.

I don't see what he's so scared of. Obama doesn't see himself as subject to court orders. He's above the law.
