House Finally Get the Girl

In the seventh season, viewers still thrive on the not so nice remarks and actions of Dr. Gregory House. "House" is a diagnostician at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. But before you go running out there to get treatment, remember it is a fictional hospital. House's team meets to bounce ideas off one another to get to the correct diagnoses. Is House a medical genius? Some would say so but in every episode they run through a menagerie of testing and wrong diagnosis before finally getting it right.

After six long seasons of House and his boss and long time friend, Lisa Cuddy playing a romantic cat and mouse, House finally catches the girl. Just as Cuddy was getting settled in with her boyfriend she decides that she wants to be with House. She doesn't believe that she is going to be able to truly move on an give anyone else a fair chance until she gives it a go with him. She tells House how she feels at the end of season 6 and viewers are left hanging wondering if it is just a drug induced delusion like he had before.

In episode 1 of season 7 it is still hard to tell whether House is having a delusion or if it is real. Wilson comes looking for House after he doesn't show up for work. House and Cuddy ignore him while Cuddy accuses House of hiding her and not wanting to tell people about their new relationship. House disagrees. As Wilson enters the apartment, through a window he broke in the kitchen, Cuddy stays in the bedroom and House meets Wilson in the kitchen. He begins to tell Wilson about him and Cuddy. Wilson thinks he is on drugs again and delusional. House finally takes Wilson into the bedroom to prove that Cuddy is really there, but she is gone, further confirming Wilson's theory. Wilson leaves and Cuddy comes out of the closet.

House confronts Cuddy about hiding. She says that her nagging shouldn't be the reason he tells Wilson about them. That he needs to do it on his own when he is ready. As Cuddy is getting ready to leave House tells her that they can't be together because someday she will realize what an ass he is and that she can't love him for the person he is. She tells him that he has always been the most incredible man she has ever known and always will be. She says that she knows he has problems and that she is willing to deal with them.

And so far they have been living happily ever after.
