When Victor demands to know why Nina is in his office, she stammers that she's an amateur taxidermist and was just trying to get a closer look at Corbiere. Victor orders her never to let him catch her in his office again. Patricia is pleased until Nina holds up the key she managed to get.
Fabian and Mick are hanging out in their room when Amber storms in. She's furious with Mick for giving Mara the same bracelet he gave her supposedly out of love. She throws it at him and storms back out.
In class, Patricia complains that she doesn't even get Joy's voicemail anymore. Instead, she gets an "unobtainable signal." After everyone sits down, someone starts quoting from the back of the room. Jason Winkler introduces himself as the new history and drama teacher. He's replacing Mr. Fleming, who had a heart attack. Amber and some of the other girls get all googly-eyed over him.
In another class--probably physics--Fabian sees Nina's locket and asks about it. Remembering that she's not supposed to let anyone see it, she puts it away. Patricia asks Mr. Sweet why Joy was erased from the school photo, and he tells her that's ridiculous. When the bell rings, he starts handing back the last assignment. Mick is thrilled to have received his very first A. He hugs Mara, which annoys Amber. She tells him to get a grip since it's only an A-minus.
Nina apologizes to Fabian for her rudeness and says she still plans to go through with the initiation.
In drama class, Alfie does an impression of a mosquito in a clothes dryer. Amber tells Nina about a magazine article saying that if your boyfriend doesn't pay enough attention to you, you have to make him jealous.
Mr. Sweet and Mrs. Andrews talk in the hall. He believes the whole situation with Joy wasn't handled well. Mrs. Andrews, on the other hand, is convinced it will blow over soon and that they'll all forget about Joy. Mr. Sweet doesn't agree and tells her that Joy and Patricia were thick as thieves and that Patricia noticed the school photo. "Ah," she says.
Amber and Alfie read a scene from Romeo and Juliet, and Amber gets an idea. "Thou art...truly the yummiest boy I've even seen," she says. Everyone is shocked when she kisses Alfie. Mick is mad!
Back at the house, Fabian and Jerome have to protect Alfie from Mick. Fabian tries to explain that he brought it on himself by giving Mara the bracelet, but Mick just doesn't get it.
That night, Nina's initiation begins. Nina swears never to speak of this night. Mick stays in his room, but everyone else is there. Nina unlocks the attic door and goes inside, leaving the key in the lock. Patricia quickly closes the door, locking her inside and taking the key. The others try to get her to open the door, but she refuses. Nina bangs on the door and pleads with her. Patricia says she'll be stuck in there until morning if she doesn't tell her what she knows about Joy.
All the noise brings Victor, and Nina stops pounding on the door. Victor demands to know what's going on. Were they trying to break down the door? Patricia claims they thought they heard mice. Threatening detention, Victor tells them to get to bed. They all rush off. Victor unlocks the door and goes inside while Nina is trapped in there!
