House of Representatives Passes Historic Health Bill
Obama Declares Political Victory for "Wee" the People with Political Foi Gras
President Obama could hardly contain his glee as he stood at the podium at 11:46 p.m. Eastern time last night, with Vice President Joseph Biden at his side, declaring a victory "for the people, by the people, of the people"
Um, wait. Excuse me, sir? Could you repeat that please? Because the last time I checked, the poll numbers said that 55% of the "for the people, by the people, of the people" crowd were not exactly parading in the streets for this bill. Alright, so maybe they were in the streets. But they weren't exactly having a parade. They were protesting. Just sayin'.
I can only guess that the shocking and oh so stunning blow of Republican Scott Brown in the stalwart Democratic state of Massachusetts a few months ago, didn't exactly resonate with you. And maybe you're not a "poll numbers guy" like your Democratic predecessor, William Jefferson Clinton. But if I were you, sir, I might think a little bit about dumping the fancy rhetoric and pay attention to the crowd that is gathering outside your window. Figuratively speaking, of course.
Contrary to what most Washington politicians think, there is a large majority of politically active and half-way savvy, voting block of "we the people", who really do read the newspapers, watch political news programs and pay attention to more than just who is Tweeting about Jessica Simpson today. And no matter how you try to spin this sir with your preacher man cadence and soul brother foot shifting at the podium, telling us that "we are a people capable of doing big things and tackling our biggest challenges", we will never believe that a cow is a duck.
Personally, I'm still trying to figure out when it was exactly that you "rose above the weight of politics" and engaged in "one year of sustained effort and debate" that you spoke about in your speech last night. Because, as far as I can tell, it's been nothing but the weight of politics and the complete lack of debate that has pushed this bill through to its present state and standing.
I know you have wanted us to see you as the "great one" who has come to heal the divide in the soul of American politics. But, really sir, the only people who think you are the "great one" are the same people who lined the streets of Detroit last year looking for free "Obama Money."
Those people are not the people who will be funding your Socialist agenda for "nationalized health care" and nationalized everything else you plan to shove down our throat in efforts to produce some sort of Utopian, political "pate de foie gras"
They will, however, be the ones who will feast on this political delicacy, while the rest of us settle in for some good ole' American mac & cheese. Because that's all we're going to be able to afford when you and your happy band of left-leaning socialist comrades extract every ^&*%%$^* penny you can from us to pay for this fine dining experience for the so called, "least among us."
If I sound a tad bitter this morning, sir, well, I am. I prefer a little more intellectual honesty with my politics and I really don't like it if I don't get kissed when I'm getting screwed. I prefer a little foreplay. But, maybe that's just me.

I can only conclude you don't read much, death. But, then in your present state I shouldn't be surprised. Eternal sleep has a way of fogging up the brain.
Um, excuse me, death.....sir.....I think you need to come out of your grave and wipe the dust from your eyes. You're not reading clearly.
