House a Television Series Must See!

A Medical Drama Sure to Evoke Many Emotions.

Maddy Fox
This television show has found it's way to the top of my favorites list. It evokes so many emotions from the viewer. You will find yourself getting angry one minute and crying the next!

House is a medical drama series with the lead role of Dr. Gregory House being performed by actor Hugh Laurie. Dr. House is an infectious disease specialist who has an arrogant and often brutal demeanor, bordering on down right rude. He comes off as uncaring and apparently lacks any bedside manners. He is a brilliant diagnostician faced with challenges of solving medical dilemmas in order to save lives. Whether you agree with his unconventional way of thinking, this as well as his precise instincts has earned him respect throughout the hospital. House works with a team of young experts who help him in trying to solve these diagnostic mysteries. Neurologist: Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps), Immunologist: Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), Intensevist: Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) and his good friend and confidant Oncology Specialist Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard).

Throughout the series Dr. House and the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) are constantly conflicting over House's unconventional behavior, but she too realizes his brilliance out weighs the trouble he stirs up.

In the season two finale Dr. House was shot and wounded by a former patients husband who was seeking revenge for House's treatment of his wife's case. The injury has caused Dr. House to use a cane and to continue his life in constant pain. Maybe this disaster is what has played a part in his nasty attitude and lack of kindness toward his patients?

This is one of those shows where you find yourself loathing the guy and then turn around and love him! As an actor Hugh gives an astounding performance every time! Maybe that explains his Golden Globe award for best performance by an actor in a Television Series. This is an edge of your seat drama that will keep you coming back for more. House airs on Fox and will be ending it's third season on May 29th - 9/8c so be sure to watch. I know what I'll be doing! I already can't wait for the next season!

I love the House character but unfortunately I get too squeamish with all the doctory stuff.
