House of Wax : Get Ready to Be Horrified

A story of how a group of teens leave to go watch the biggest football game of the year. They stop to make camp and just hangout. But awake the next day to find their cars purposely tampered with. They are escorted to what seems like a perfectly ordinary town. This town is home to the world famous was museum of people. But there's a reason this museum has no celebrity waxes and why they are so incredibly life-like.

But what they soon find out is this is no ordinary town at all.A slow gap is left and pretty much for the first hour of the film, nothing exciting happens. Very fast the action goes from nothing to a lot. This might be a bad thing or a good thing. I thought it was a good thing since once the action actually started, it certainly took you on a ride 'till the end. The mood instantly switches to Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Even one of the major attacks is taken straight out the film. Seriously, at this point I thought I was watching a remake of TCM with a bit of wax and houses thrown in. Another average thing about this film is that the death scenes were o.k. but not the best you cant get out of a movie. All the death scenes were very to unrealistic, very gory and very unsatisfying.

Well knowing that Paris Hilton was in this movie my expectations were not very high. But everything started good. There were a few laughs here and there and then they got in the town and that's when it started to kick up.

I'm all about horror movies. But to be honest this movie wasn't that scary but more of the bloody/gory and "omg I cant believe it!" Type of movie. And upon all the actors there were only 2 of the teenagers that actually played a part in the movie (aside from the bad guys) which took away a little.

The story itself was actually pretty neat. Realizing what's actually going on in the movie really puts you in that "wow" phase. Without spoiling anything let me say that the reason the bad guys are doing what they're doing is pretty silly but who cares? It was still awesome what they did.
And you will get to see Paris Hilton's ass in this movie.

And unlike some horror movies that plain out suck, these guys aren't just out to kill people for the hell of it for no reason and leave their bodies to rot. These guys kill the people for a reason that is pretty awesome.

The ending also has some cool effects to watch. So if your bored, go ahead and pay to see this movie in the theater. It was worth it to watch.

Final Score (out of ten): 8.5. I really did like this movie.
