Fun Fair Positive Soccer (FFPS)
FFPS is a non-profit youth soccer program dedicated to providing a positive youth sports experience for all children. There will be one practice per week and eight Saturday games played locally. This program offers every player equal playing time, opportunities to play every position, co-ed/balanced teams, positive coaching and more. No tryouts are required. Your registration fee includes full uniform (shirt, short and socks), trained positive coaches, nice fields and background check on all volunteers. Each participant will receive a trophy. The little ones can enjoy summer camp too with Gymboree's Play and Music summer camp. This camp offers age appropriate activities on equipment made just for a child's size. Art projects, games and other activities round out the sessions, led by Gymboree Instructors. This camp is recommended for children age 2-5 years old. There are two programs available; the 2 hr. drop-off camp, as well as receive Free Open Gym playtimes with an adult.

This unique water sports camp located on a private 22-acre lake in Highlands, TX with more than 15 years of water sports camp experience. Camp participants can learn the basic skills, techniques and safety skills necessary to participate in a variety of water sports. Students choose from a variety of water sports classes including: wakeboard, wake surf, wake skate, two ski, one ski, kneeboard, tube, and new for 2010 - riding the 2.0 cable system! Great resources!
I think summer camps are a great idea for children, as long as it's not just an excuse to keep them out of your hair for the summer. May signals the end of the school year in the USA, and it seems so odd to me still that in the UK schools don't finish until the last week in July.
