Houston's diverse population allows a varied selection of gay organizations. One of the social clubs for gay men is called
Houston's Big Men's Club. It is a social organization for chubby gay men and their admirers. It was created by the founders to give hefty men a place where they could feel welcome.

Their members come from all areas of the city. Sometimes they even get visitors from out of town. They have various social events throughout the month with their regular monthly meeting at the Houston Gay Community Center every second saturday of the month. Their members range in age from 18 to 60 plus.

The organization has been going strong for over two years. New members visit the group every month and some become members during their first visit.
