What you will need:
½ c measuring cup
1 T measuring spoon
White, non-bleached, granulated sugar
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pure Honey
Peppermint extract *optional
A stirring stick
A small container with a lid
Step one:Get out your small container and make sure the lid is near by. Collect all your measuring tools too. It would also be a good idea to grab the stirring stick as well and have it at hand.
Step two:Measure out three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and pour into the small container. Now measure out one tablespoon of honey and add it to the container also. Stir both the extra virgin olive oil and honey together until smooth and combined.
Step three:Add in ½ cup of white, granulated sugar. Using a stirring stick, mix all three ingredients together. Mix until there are no large lumps.
Step four: By this time, your exfoliate is complete and ready to be used. There is another ingredient that I put in my exfoliate, but it is optional to you; peppermint extract. I personally do not like the smell of extra virgin olive oil, so I place a hint of peppermint in my mix and stir well.
I do not recommend pressing hard into your skin while using this exfoliate because it could irritate your skin. Simply wet your hand with warm water and massage a small amount of product unto your face. After you have finished your face, rinse off the mix with warm water and pat dry with towel.
Other than being 100% natural, another great advantage to this exfoliate is its moisturizing affect. There is no need to apply moisturizer afterward because the extra virgin olive oil plays a key role in soothing and softening your skin.
Not only does the olive oil soften your skin and moisturize, it works as a great makeup remover. If you are a daily makeup wearer and don't want to spend a ton of money on makeup remover, I would recommend applying a small amount of olive oil to a cotton ball and sweep it over your face. If you don't feel like removing your makeup with a makeup remover before washing, you don't have to. Simply use this exfoliate and it will cleanse your face, exfoliate your skin, and remove your makeup.
