How the 4 Seasons Can Help Your Wardrobe
Discover Which Colors Will Highlight Your Hair, Skin and Eye Color
Remember, before you pick up your wallet and run to the closest mall, you should reevaluate which colors will heighten your skin tone and give it justice. You should also examine the new trends that everyone will start wearing and decide which style and color will enhance your image the most. After all, certain colors don't look good on everyone. The many hues that can enhance your regular skin coloring can be grouped into four categories that also matches the four seasons: spring, fall, winter and summer. Based on your skin complexion and your hair and eye color you can quickly follow the guidebook below to see which hues will look stupendous on you.
You would be classified as a spring if your skin appears to be ivory or peach toned. Springs normally are redheads or natural blonds with green or blue eyes. They tend to have warm or soft skin tones with gold-like shades underneath. If you are among the group of people that consider themselves springs, you should not purchase stark colors like black and white. Harsh colors look washed out against your skin colors.
Springs should pack their wardrobe filled with golden colors such as brown, beige and peach. Bold colors like reds and greens will also look great against your skin tone, but be certain that you don't purchase hues that are too dark.
You should categorize yourself as a winter if you detect that you have a colder looking skin color that has blue undertones. Numerous people of color (people of Latin, Asian and African-American descent) are in the winter category. Caucasians with brown hair and dark eyes are usually categorized as winters as well.
When purchasing clothes, you should go for clothes with bright shades such as purple, red, pink, black and navy blue. Those hues look great on your skin tone. Pastels are also recommended for winters. Shades that winters should not buy include gold, beige and other earth tones. Winters should only buy neutrals such as black and white and stay away from grey.
Summers usually have cooler skin tones as well and normally have light eyes and light skin. Brunettes and natural blondes can be summers. Summers look best in clothes that come in earthy shades. Gentle colors such as lavender, pink, baby blue and pale yellow will compliment your light eyes, hair and skin tone.
Some colors you should stay away from are orange and black. Intense colors like these are not flattering and should not be purchased.
Autums have a skin tone that's warm or peachy. Most autumns are brunettes with hazel or light brown eyes or have red hair. If you have most of these features, then you most likely would be classified as an autumn. Make sure to purchase clothing with light, pastel colors. Autumns should also avoid any attire that has bluish undertones. Lastly, they should also avoid very contrasted colors such as white and black.
Every autumn will look best in earth tones or warm, golden colors which are normally associated with autumn. Colors such as beige, brown, orange and gold are some great examples of colors that fit autumns.
Remember that this is a general guide to discovering which colors will look best on you. It would also be safe to get another opinion, so feel free to ask your friends and family which group of colors fit your skin and hair tone the best. And also always pay attention to the shade that you happen to be wearing if you receive lots of compliments from anyone, and stock up as much as you can on that hue as possible when you go shopping.
