How AC Has Helped Me: A Success Story

Joshua McMorrow-Hernandez
I began my journey at Associated Content in May 2007. Though I had already published some work with an online magazine and some blog-type websites, AC was the first place where I made a significant amount of money from my writing.

In fact, with the earnings I have been making from AC, I was able to pay for tuition and books for the last few courses I needed to take so I could earn my first college degree! Now, AC is helping me earn money as I work toward my second college degree.

However, the success I have enjoyed with AC does not stop at monetary earnings. With AC, I have been able to build a respectable readership, and a loyal and friendly network of readers who provide me a steady audience base. Working on my writing craft while knowing I have readers ready to give me their opinions with virtually every article I write has given me a chance to hone my skills in front of the public. The feedback I get from my network of subscribers and supporters is essential to me as I continue to grow as a writer.

Readership, though, has not been limited to my dedicated subscribers. Because AC promotes much of its content on other sites, and AC content can be easily found in results listings from online search engines (if articles are written with good use of key words), I have been able to build a growing stream of traffic from everyday internet users. Many of my articles are garnering thousands of page views each....And with each page view comes an increase in my monthly income, thanks to the Performance Bonuses AC pays its content producers. The more page views your articles receive, the more money you make.

But AC is not just about making money and building networks. AC also is a great place to construct a portfolio. As a writer and student, having an easily accessible, online portfolio of my writing is crucial if I want to show editors, employers, advisers, and instructors my commercial writing skills.

Another thing AC provides me? A place to have fun. A forum where I can simply write just for the enjoyment of writing itself. A spot where I can post the pieces I write and have them be read, simply because I want to share with others something I love to do....writing.
