You find yourself unintentionally placing an @ sign before a person's name, even when you're not on Twitter.
It takes you less than ½ second to shorten a URL to an item that you're tweeting.
You've ever decided to pop on to Twitter for "just a second" and 3 hours later you're still following other people's tweets.
You tweet your friends more often than you actually see them in person.
You've got 40404 (the number to send tweets via text messaging) programmed into your cell phone and it's actually one of your most frequently used numbers.
So what are your results? If three or more of those had you nodding your head and smiling, then you're probably a die-hard Twitter user. Join the club!
Chances are, if you're that into Twitter you're probably using other social media as well. Maybe you have a MySpace or Facebook profile that you'd like to tie together with your Twitter account. Well, don't worry, because luckily there is a way to add a flash or html Twitter gadget to just about any social media network.
Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to add a Twitter gadget to MySpace or Facebook.
1. Sign into your Twitter account and click on Settings.
2. Once you're in Settings be sure you've clicked on the Account tab.
3. Scroll down to the 5th field - it should say "More Info URL". Click on the link directly below it that says "(You can also add Twitter to your site here)".
4. Select which social media site you want to create a flash/html widget to:
MySpace
Blogger
TypePad
Or just about any other social network or web page.
To add the Twitter widget to your MySpace profile, use the following steps:
1. Click on MySpace and select Continue.
2. Choose between an interactive widget or the smaller display-only widget, then select Continue.
3. Make any adjustments to your Twitter widget on the following page.
4. Sign into your MySpace account.
5. Once you're satisfied with your Twitter widget, copy the html from the box and paste it into any section of your MySpace profile.
To add the Twitter widget to your Facebook profile, follow these steps:
1. Click on Facebook and select Continue.
2. Click on the button that says Install Twitter in Facebook.
3. You'll be prompted to sign into your Twitter account from Facebook on the following page. Do so and then click Log In.
4. You can choose to allow Twitter to update your Facebook status via your tweets. Don't worry, any @reply twitter updates won't show up.
