How to Use AdWords to Buy Ads

Google Adwords is great marketing platform that can drive increased traffic to a website. Millions of users use Google search engine by typing a keyword or a keyword phrase to get millions of return results in seconds. From these results the sponsored pay-per-click (PPC) results of Google AdWords are placed randomly on the page and appear based on the keyword or the keyword phrase entered on the search box. In that way, people who use Adwords can build profitable marketing campaigns and make their businesses really successful.

In effect, there is a huge variety of search engine optimization (SEO) tools on the Internet, but none has the SEO benefits that AdWords can offer, particularly when buying ads. However, to make the best out of Adwords, you need to experiment with several campaigns, ads, and keywords for a period of time to find out which bring results and which are not. In doing so, you will be able to increase the ROI on AdWords and establish a competitive advantage for your business.

Here are some tips for effective use of Adwords:

1. Test multiple ads simultaneously

Adding two or more ads from different areas simultaneously is a great way to test AdWords. In a few days, you will be able to determine which ad or ads produce the higher click through rate (CTR). The CTR divides the number of visitors who clicked on an ad on a particular web page by the ad impressions (the number of times the ad was delivered). The ads with the lower CTR will be replaced with those that have a higher CTR through a continuous optimization process until all ads included in the campaign have a high CTR to ensure a highly effective ad.

2. Avoid generic keywords

Generic keywords are not effective in AdWords. Instead, they can convey the wrong campaign message to target audience. Therefore, it is advisable not only to use specific keywords, but also square brackets around keywords so that the ad is returned only when the exact keyword or keyword phrase is matched.

3. Create a unique value proposition

Value proposition is very important for any business because it emphasizes what makes a product or service unique, thus differentiating a business from competition and highlights the benefits that customers will derive by entering in a relationship with the firm. Therefore, the value proposition should be something that competitors cannot match, but most importantly it should be expressed in straightforward way through AdWords so that it describes how customers can benefit from it.

Overall, Google Adwords can be an excellent marketing tool if used properly. By offering targeted campaigns shown across Google's network, it can advertise a business to people who search for relevant products or services 24/7, very easily, quickly and efficiently. With Google AdWords, not only you have one of the best advertising solutions available, but you are also very likely to get ads with high CTR, thus increasing your quality advertising exposure on the Web and outperforming competition.
