Are You Acidic?
If your diet consists of a high percentage of alcohol, red meat, artificial sweeteners, carbonated soft drinks, and white sugar, your body pH may be acidic.
Extremely acidic foods include: "Beef, Beer, Breads, Brown Sugar, Refined Cereals, Chocolate, Cigarettes and Tobacco, Coffee, Unrefined Cream of Wheat, Drugs, Fish, Flour (white), Fruit Juices with Sugar, Jams, Jellies, Lamb, Liquor, Maple Syrup (processed), Sulfured Molasses, White Pasta, Pastries and Cakes from White Flour, Pickles (commercial), Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Table Salt (refined and iodized), Black Tea, White Bread, Processed White Vinegar, Whole Wheat Foods, Wine, and Yogurt (sweetened)."
What is the Optimum pH?
Saliva should be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4. A saliva pH below 7.0 becomes slightly more acid, and a pH of 4.5 is strongly acidic. Most people have a pH near or at 7 - 7.4. For a baseline reading, test your saliva in the morning with pH test strips.
Alkalize Your Body
I suggest that you eat green foods and take green drinks, as these foods are loaded with alkaline elements to keep the pH balanced. Try Fruits 'N Greens drink - it's delicious. You can also try Chlorella capsules if you don't like drinks. It may take 3-4 months to alkalize your system. "To build alkalinity and remove excess acidity, eat a mostly vegetarian diet that includes fresh vegetable juices and alkaline minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin D, and Vitamin K."
The diet should be 20% acid and 80% alkaline. Exercise, massage, and manual lymph drainage enhances the healing process and helps move the alkalinity throughout the entire body. Rebound trampoline exercise is reported to increase lymph flow by 15 to 30 times.
Alkaline foods include: "Lemons, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Cayenne, Celery, Dates, Figs, Kelp, Limes, Mango, Melons, Papaya, Parsley, Seaweeds, Seedless Grapes (sweet), Watercress, Asparagus, Fruit Juices, Grapes (sweet), Kiwifruit, Passion fruit, Pears (sweet), Pineapple, Packed Raisins, Vegetable Juices, Apples (sweet), Alfalfa Sprouts, Apricots, Avocados, Bananas (ripe), Currants, Dates, Figs (fresh), Garlic, Grapefruit, Grapes (less sweet), Guavas, Herbs (leafy green), Lettuce (leafy green), Nectarine, Peaches (sweet), Pears (less sweet), Peas (fresh, sweet), Pumpkin (sweet)."
