How American Idols Top 12 Guys Ranked

How American Idols Top 12 Ranked in My Opinion

The show opened with Clint Jun Gamboa performing Stevie Wonder's Superstition. This William-Hung looking kid sporting his thick black glasses started the show off great! I gotta' be honest, before tonight I was not a fan . . . at all . . . but . . . I thought he was great! He moved great on stage along with great vocals and got the crowd started.

Jovany Barretto, the good looking shipyard worker from Louisana was next singing The Greatest Fan of Your Life. Jovany is nice eye candy for the ladies with a beautiful soft voice. I agree with J-Lo really liking his performance, but also agree with Randy that he didn't do anything different with the song.

Jordan Dorsey chose an Usher song, sounded terrible and dance moves weren't all that great - was very disappointed.

Next was Tim Halperin singing Rob Thomas' C'mon Over. The judges weren't crazy about the song choice, but let's remember he does have a great, different kind of voice and kicks butt on the piano. He appeared comfortable on stage and he's cute. Hopefully America will give him another shot!

Brett Loewenster a.k.a. "Carrot top" sang C'mon Baby Light my Fire by the Doors and although the judges were impressed, this fan was not . . . AND he shook his hair WAY TOO MUCH!

What can I say about James Durbin's performance of Judas Priests' "You've Got Another Thing Coming"? He was awesome! or as Steven Tyler said "Crazy Good!" I loved the fact that he didn't "Adam Lambert" it too much -and his tail was cute! I don't think he has anything to worry about - he'll be back.

Robbie Rosen, the 17 yr. old that sang Arms of the Angel was OK for me. He did make the song his own, but I found it a little boring.

The one country contestant, Scotty McCreery did a fantastic rendition of a John Michael McGomery song. He's a cute kid with an unbelievable country sound that will have difficulty when the contestants must sing other genre, but for the time being I think he's safe.

Stefano Langone was a favorite of the three judges but not of me. His huge eyes remind me of a chameleon and I wasn't impressed with his peformance. Sorry, just saying!

Paul McDonald not only has a unique voice, but he's cute with some real quirky stage moves! He brings a maturity to the show that moms enjoy! So c'mon moms out there - vote and let's keep this talent around!!!!

Jacob "Luther" Lusk was just UNBELIEVABLE! This young man's voice is beautiful beyond belief. He reminds me of Bubba Gump with his own unrefined class - no worries - "Luther" Lusk will be here next week and

last . . . BUT NOT LEAST . . .

CASEY ABRAMS!!!!! Great way to close out a show - when this guy lets loose its just unbelievable. Casey was fun-crazy in a sexy, gritty way - no doubt in my mind - HE'LL BE BACK (for a long time)!

So here are MY top five: Clint Jun Gamboa, James Durbin, Paul McDonald, Jacob Lusk and Casey Abrams with Scotty McCreery as a wild card.
