How to Apply Liquid Eyeliner

Let me tell you a little about liquid eyeliner. Eyeliner draws attention to the eyes and encourages eye contact. People will definitely notice your eyes when you are wearing liquid eyeliner, no matter what eye shape you have, even deep set eyes will stand out with eyeliner.

Liquid eyeliner comes in various shades such as brown, navy, charcoal and cocoa. Depending on your own individual eye color, you may want to choose from any of the four basic shades that I just mentioned.

Here are some helpful guidelines that can help you choose the right shade that will go with your eye color.

If you have brown eyes- dark brown or cocoa liner

If you have blue eyes- brown or navy liner for day and at night, charcoal liner compliments and enhances blue eyes.

If you have green eyes- brown liner looks nice and will enhance your eye color.

There are many different eyeliners that are on the market today, so choose the formula and color that suits you.

Never apply eyeliner on the inside rim of your eyes. It is important to always apply liquid eyeliner on the outer rim of your eye for the safety and health of the eye.

This is how to apply liquid eyeliner:

First, take the eyeliner applicator brush in your hand, look in the mirror and depending on if you are left handed or right handed, take your free hand and hold down the eyelid of the eye that you are applying the eyeliner to. With the hand that is holding the eyeliner applicator, place the applicator brush on the corner of the eye that you are lining. Make sure that you start at the corner and place the applicator very close to the lashes. The closer the line is to the lashes the more natural and defined your eyes will look. Start to draw a line from the inner corner of your eyelid to the outer corner of your eye. You will need to repeat the same process on your other eye.

You can also apply eyeliner to the bottom line of each eye as well. When eyeliner is applied underneath your eye, you do not have to apply the eyeliner from corner to corner. You can actually end the line half way, so that the line ends at the center part of the lower eye area.

Have fun with eyeliner. If you do not draw a perfect line across or around your eye, do not give up, just remove the remaining eyeliner and try again. You will soon be able to draw the perfect line like a pro. Remember, it takes practice. By applying these techniques, your eyes will draw more attention and will look bigger, brighter, and will look absolutely stunning.
