Men don't know what they're missing! Wearing makeup is a great way to both look and feel great. They are many different types of makeup. There are tons of brands, colors, and varieties available to choose from.
Makeup is generally about applying color. When a woman wants to make a statement or is feeling bold she'll be more likely to choose brighter bolder colors. When a woman wants to look and feel her best without going bold she can choose to apply her makeup differently so that it looks more natural.
The bold look is great but the natural look is in. The natural look will always be in style because natural beauty is always going to be more beautiful than applied beauty. In my opinion, that's just the way it is.
When a woman applies her makeup she is trying to achieve a look. When a woman is going for that barely there natural look she needs to know how to get it. Here's how...
Starting with the foundation. Skip it. Let your natural skin show. If you wish to have light coverage opt for a pressed powder that is your exact skin tone. Apply it lightly. One can't achieve a natural look if the makeup is thickly applied or is caked on.
Next let's jump to the lips. For a bold look you might choose bright pink. For a soft and natural look choose a color that is more like the natural color of your own lips. Bland pinks, soft salmons, or nude shades work wonderfully. A shade that is a bout two shades deeper than your own natural lip color is recommended. Skip the lip liner. Blend with your finger or blot.
For the eyes apply everything lightly. Start with the shadow. Choose a color that is close to your skin color, as you did with the lipstick. Pale browns are great. When you are trying to get the natural look you don't want to add colors that are not natural. Stick with skin tone like shades that glimmer or are matte. Glimmer gives the natural look a pretty twist. Matte doesn't shine. It doesn't sparkle. It is the most natural of the two. Next apply your eyeliner. Eyeliner needs to be applied lightly. A thick line is not natural whereas a thinner one is barely visible. Appling a thin line of eyeliner on only the lower part of the eye is a way to enhance your own natural beauty. Next the lashes. For the very most natural mascara look don't curl your eyelashes with a lash curler. Apply mascara lightly. Barely touch the wand to your lashes. Before applying your mascara take a tissue and dab off the wand. Doing so removes excess mascara from the wand and ensure you won't get a thick layer of mascara. You want it on as lightly as possible to achieve a natural look.
The only things left to do are choose your clothes, jewelry, accessories, and perfume! Thanks for reading and take care J
