How to Apply a Natural Look Makeup

Jessika Santos
Whether your a natural girl, or a simple plain jane... every time you leave your house, or even step into the outside public, you should apply "some" makeup . I believe in naturally beautiful features, but slightly enhancing them will really benefit you in the long run.

People love beautiful people. The very first impression someone has on you is what they first see. why not make it pleasant? The possibility of running into an ex or seeing someone you haven't seen in some time is huge! So why go home thinking to yourself, Did I look tired? Do I look old? Do they still think I'm pretty? you can have the confidence of knowing that you looked up to par if you had these simple things done.

Eyeshadow
Eye shadow is not for geniuses, it's for everyone. It's not the key focal point of the face, so you can skip it,or use a color as close to your own skin color like a light taupe to a dark beige or bronze color. Apply it over the entire lid for a concealed flawless affect. Estimated application time: 22 seconds

Eyeliner
It may be viewed by some as an accessory, but it is a necessity! using any form from liquid, cake, or pencil. Definition is a must. Take your form of choice and touch your lash line at the inner corners and work your way to outer corner. keep it thin and simple if your not use to seeing yourself with makeup. keep some cotton swabs near by so that you can tamper with the effect. Lining the bottom lash line is pure choice, but should be done with care. use less pressure when applying under eye so that you do not dispense as much color. Start from the middle and work your way to the outside corners. This will make your eyes look defined and bigger. Estimated time: 2 minutes

Under eye concealer
Whether your 18 or 85...Darkness exists. Starting with causes from lack of sleep, to just plain hereditary, the half circles cannot be escaped. an under eye concealer color should be chosen cautiously and blended well. The color should be in the range of your exact color of your face, to a half a shade lighter. Choose a texture that suits you comfortably since it will be worn all day and possibly reapplied later for touch ups. Dab four dots starting directly under inner corner throughout entire under eye. A concealer brush is great for blending, but so is your ring finger. The ring finger has less strength than your index, so it is easier on your orbital skin. blend until the concealer is no longer visual . Estimated time : 45 seconds

Mascara
Mascara is a must so don't even think about skipping it. Apply to both bottom and top eye lashes. Starting with the first coat, apply an light stroked from inside to tip. Without letting it dry too much move on to the second coat. Estimated time: 1 minute

Lip liner
Pick a color that matches your gloss or lipstick exactly. This way you will save time not having to blend away the two tone affect of the lips. Going a little above the perimeter of your lips is fine for fullness as long as it's even. Estimated time: 30 seconds

Lip stick or Lip gloss
I am a fan for both and have no preference. Depending on your desired texture you can choose one or the other...or my favorite, Both! Apply it over entire lip and liner. If using lipstick try a lip brush for application, it lasts longer and can have a more natural effect. you can always slide a little clear gloss over any color for a more puffy pout. Estimated time: 2 minutes

In less than 10 minutes you can accentuate your natural beauty simply by slightly teasing your features with a little color. It is not time consuming, and can only make you feel more like the beautiful woman you are. Don't let that one time of "if only I had put on a little makeup"... feeling happen again. If you don't like to wear foundation, powder, or even blush...that's fine. But please ladies. Play up your eyes and lips!
