How to Apply Winter Fairy Makeup

Want to really wow them at your next seasonal get-together or party? Learn how to apply winter fairy makeup for a feminine and festive look with extra sparkle. It's easy to do and can be worn right over the normal concealer and foundation you use for evening looks. Use the photograph for reference and simply customize the design as you see fit.

Items Needed:
White Eyeliner Pencil
White Cream Eyeshadow
Brown Eyeliner Pencil (or alternative favorite color)
Mascara
Stick on Skin Jewels
Glitter Powder
Shiny Lip-Gloss

Step 1: Use your white eyeliner pencil to draw a wispy wing on the outside of your eyes. Start right where your eyebrows naturally end for the top and at the edge of your top lid for the bottom line. Taper it smaller as you draw upwards toward your hairline.

Step 2: Fill the design in with white cream shadow. Apply it with a makeup sponge or your fingertips for even coverage to create the winter fairy wing look.

Step 3: Create the separation lines with brown eyeliner or another color that matches your outfit. Draw partway up from your eyebrow to frame the wing. Line your top lid as you normally would, dragging it out lighter to frame the wing from the bottom as well.

Step 4: Use the same pencil as you did in step 3 to add a little more depth to your top eyelid as well as outline just under your bottom lashes. Add a little at a time as it is always easier to get it darker; it is not so easy to wash it all off and start over if it gets too dark for your tastes.

Step 5: Apply mascara to finish it off. Use your favorite black or brown or get adventurous with a brighter colored version. Another option would be to apply fake eyelashes that have sparkles added in them.

Step 6: Follow the directions on the package of the stick on jewels. Place them towards the ends of your wings to add more sparkle.

Step 7: Pick out a shiny lip gloss. Use a clearer color to keep most of the attention focused on your made-up eyes.

Step 8: Brush glitter powder on your neck and cleavage to add a further touch of whimsy. Apply more to your face if you want extra drama in your winter fairy makeup look.
