How to Be Asked Out on a Second Date

Sondra C

The moment you met you felt the chemistry grow between you. Then after the first date the chemistry seemed to fade.

What did you do to scare him? Were you overly anxious to have sex, or made it obvious you were searching for a relationship heading towards marriage?

Too much too soon can scare away a potential lasting relationship. It is best to let the man take the lead if you are interested in being asked for another date. Remember the dating rule. Allow him to think he is taking the initiative, while it is you who take the first step.

**Do not talk too much about yourself or brag and boast of any prior achievements This is the easiest way to bore and make a man leave and never return. Men enjoy talking about themselves, so be a good listener. Your turn will come. Do not rush it.

**Do not talk about past relationships; good or bad. No man is interested in hearing about your sexuality or conquests. This is the easiest way to scare him from establishing a possible lasting relationship.

It is better to let the guy do the talking, and you to be a good listener. Answer his questions if he asks about your past, but do not go into details, boast or tell him too much. Keep a guy guessing. If he becomes intrigued he will ask for another date in order to learn more about you.

However, if you find that by the end of the evening your interest in him has declined be polite and refuse his request for a second date. It is not unusual for either of you to change your mind as a date progresses.

I had a school friend who was a really good listener, and she always had tons of dates!
