How Associated Content Can Benefit College Students

Alison Myers
If you're a college student, you are probably strapped for cash and need to make quick money. You can always go the traditional route of helping around an academic office or waiting tables, but what if your schedule doesn't allow for these jobs or you don't get paid enough?

Instead of sitting around and wishing you had more money, you can do something about it. You can try writing for Associated Content! As a college stduent who has been a Content Producer for almost two months, I plan on sticking with it even though I already have a job at school. Here's why:

There are no deadlines. There is no one telling you when to submit a piece by unless you decide to write for a Call for Content or Content Special Offer. Beyond that, you don't have to worry about facing pressure to write sooner and quicker. Take your time to perfect your work and submit it whenever you are satisfied.

You can submit content about whatever you want. AC will accept any unique articles, videos, slideshows, and audio. No matter which format you choose, you are always your best source. Write about mistakes you have learned from, a review of your favorite local restaurant, or life on your college campus.

The options for articles are almost endless. Even if you have to do some research to supplement your experience, there is nothing like showing everyone what you know and getting recognized for it.

You can write as often as you'd like. Whether you submit four articles in a week or ten in one day, it is fine by AC. Whenever you can squeeze in a free moment and have an article idea you want to get on the Web, don't hesitate to get to work.

You will gain recognition and appreciation for your writing. Others can comment your articles and tell you how much they enjoyed them, or otherwise compliment your writing style. You can tell your family and friends about AC and surely they will be proud of you as well. If you write a decent article with high keyword optimization, you can be featured in the Content Showcase. Thousands of people can very easily view your article then.

You will have something to show employers, especially if you are going into any field where writing skills are important. You can put a link to your AC page on your resume or on your business card. If an employer already likes you as a candidate, your strong writing could easily give you an edge over other applicants. Plus, it is always good to be knowledgable on a wide variety of topics.

Of course, I have to end by mentioning the monetary benefits. You are normally paid $3-$20 per article and your offers increase as you establish yourself more on AC and you include more keyword optimized terms in your work. Although it can be frustrating to get low offers, you can keep at work and may earn several hundred dollars. For example, in nearly two months, I have already earned over $300.

Don't worry about being scammed either. AC is a perfectly legitimate company that is a member of the Better Business Bureau Online Reliability Program and pays securely through Paypal. You will never need to give out your bank account information; just the e-mail address that you registered for Paypal with. Your payment is sent within three business days after you accept an offer.

The Performance Bonus will also help you. Once the page views are updated, you can take a look at what your Performance Bonus is. The formula is 15 cents per 1,000 page views. Right now, I have 1,033 page views and a bonus of $1.55. This seems low, but as long as I continue promoting and remain active on AC, my bonus will increase. You will be paid your bonus once you make a minimum of $15 on it. This is because AC must pay adminstrative costs each time they send you an upfront payment for your published article.

Every CP has a different list of reasons of how they benefit from Associated Content. If you are in college, you too can benefit from AC and make a name for yourself in the online publishing world. Don't let a busy class schedule or a part time job stop you. Register for AC today!

Very well written. I am not a student, but I still very much like the lack of deadlines on AC.

Very good article, I think this site is just a matter of waiting, until college students like me, and you are making more than our minimum wage job.laterz.
