Honeymoon Anti-Packing List: Computers
You really don't need to be checking your email while you are on your honeymoon, so leave the computers at home. This will save you many hours that you probably would have wasted on Facebook or playing silly computer games. Instead, you can spend it looking at each others' faces and playing real card and board games together. If you need information on local events, the front desk will be able to help you, and many larger hotels and resorts will even have computer labs for guest use.
Honeymoon Anti-Packing List: DVDs
If you really want to watch a movie, you can find a real movie theater and go out on a date, or rent a movie from a nearby store (many large resorts have DVDs to check out also). This will help you to resist the temptation to just curl up with a movie together every evening, which can be fun, but is not really the most interactive activity. Your spouse will appreciate having your undivided attention.
Honeymoon Anti-Packing List: Thank You Cards
Some couples are really ambitious and decide that they are going to write thank you cards for their wedding gifts while they have lots of time on their honeymoon. Don't do it. This is a week when you have the chance to relax and stop thinking about the massive list of wedding-related things to do, so take advantage of it. Plus, wedding etiquette rules give you three whole months to get the thank you cards taken care of.
Honeymoon Anti-Packing List: Things that Bother Your Spouse
Ladies, if your man hates it when you read Cosmo or People, just leave them at home. Guys, if she just can't stand it when you wear those goofy swim trunks, surprise her by buying some new ones so you can leave the old ones behind. Marriage is about looking to the other's interests first, so the honeymoon is a great time to start making some sacrifices to let your spouse know how valuable their opinions are to you.
Honeymoon Anti-Packing List: Stress
Somewhat cliché and obvious, but leave the stress at home. The honeymoon is a time to relax together, and there is nothing that needs to be worried about while you are on vacation. It will all be waiting for you just as it was when you get back, so there's no sense in thinking about it while you're supposed to be relaxing and having a good time.
