But when the mind reflects back to the poor choices made in the past, you're soon left wondering where it all went wrong. Is there something that can be done to help this situation, or are you now left in a never ending cycle of bad decisions?
Life is filled with one opportunity after the next, and how you react to these situations determines how your life progresses from this point on. Sometimes an easy decision is not always the right choice, so with little or no thought a hasty decision is made. Then life throws you a ringer, and you realize that you've not only messed up your life, but also the lives of others.
Now you're left feeling like a fool holding an empty emotional bag. The human spirit is the creation of God, but it can also be used to belittle your soul and others around you. Once the spirit has been broken, the mind soon follows in suit.
Poor choices or actions in life can leave you not only alone, but also living with these decisions (in your mind) for the rest of your life. What can you do to change this foolish lifestyle, and what are the ramifications of making foolish decisions?
In order to understand your thinking or rationality, you must first understand the workings of the third dimensional mind. What causes attraction to such things as: alcohol, drugs, infidelity, and numerous other addictions? Listed below are some causes of bad decisions, and also what can be done to reprogram the mind in order to enjoy each opportunity life has to offer.
The dangers of bad decisions
Every action that you take in life affects others, although this is usually not known at the time of the action. Most of the time your only concern is to protect your sense of self. Self preservation is the number one priority in your life. Most of these random thoughts of self are selflessly provided by the ego.
What you believe or how "you" perceive reality is registered deep within the soul. Each situation you complete successfully feeds the soul, and each bad decision you make threatens the ego. Now you're left in a mental battle as you try to feed the soul and the ego at the same time.
Habits are formed very early in life. These physical and mental habits rule your world, and also the mind. As the mind reflects on thousands of thoughts an hour, your left in a mental battle trying to make each piece of the mental puzzle fit. This is almost impossible. Finally you realize that you've been missing some of the most important parts of the puzzle, so you finally give up. In the end you usually do what you think is the easiest, regardless of the consequences.
Now loved ones in your life are also being affected by these bad decisions. Although you notice this emotional change in yourself you try to ignore it. So you continue to live each day after the next as your children watch and imitate your every action and decision. Now, you've just passed on these bad traits to your children and generations to come.
Infidelity is another bad decision that's ended many marriages today. Entire families have been cruelly separated by one single act of selflessness. Once you've grown accustomed to lying to your spouse it soon becomes easy. The foundation of your marriage is beginning to sink, all because of your bad decisions.
The road you travel in life has also been altered in order to make up for your poor choices. Usually at this point in time you've been distanced from your family and also the ones you love. Is this emotional suicide, or are you just living for the ego?
The danger of bad decisions can range between: broken families, drug addiction, gambling with the family's income, or even suicide. In order to stop these destructive actions, you must first understand how they started before you can mentally and spiritually amend this situation.
Why are bad choices made?
Is there a lesson to be learned from the bad choices made in life? If not, then why are these poor choices being made over and over again? Maybe the first time around the lesson was never learned. Sometimes you're not even conscious of the choices that you made, because now they've become second nature.
Early in life sight and sound were the most important part of our day. We learn to pattern our lives after what we see, and also what we hear. As these situations unfold before us everything is registered deep within the mind to be used for future reference. Was the early years of your life filled with turmoil and hasty decisions, or did your parents educate you in order to make the right choices?
This is the very root of your inner self, and how you perceive reality. As these emotional habits are formed, our perceptions of life are filled from past experiences, and worries about the future. As each situation arrives in life, the mind goes back to a past experience and weighs the possible outcome of this new situation.
The ego then tells you of all of your failures, and also what can be done. Now it's a mental game that's being played again. This is just what the mind and the ego does the best; challenge your personal endeavors. Worries of failure dominate the third dimensional mind. These types of destructive thought patterns are what creates low self-esteem.
So, instead of listening to thoughts of self doubt, you change the way you think for all of the wrong reasons. Although you know that you're doing something wrong, it's also thought of as a challenge. "No one will know," you tell yourself, but it always seems to come back twice as bad in the end.
The human spirit is an amazing creation, but destructive emotions block the way reality is perceived through a distorted perception. Changing this distorted perception requires the ability to be "mentally aware." Not only aware of your actions, but also the actions of others, and the opportunities which present themselves in the future.
Living with the fool
Are most of us destined to live with a fool, or is there a lesson in this also? It's been said that negativity is one of the best teachers in life. That means that some people are obtaining some pretty difficult emotional lessons. So, have you unconsciously chosen this lesson in life, or is it just fate?
With time and observation the fool begins to show exactly how "not" to live your life. It's always easier to observe mistakes from others than it is to see them in yourself. After awhile you begin to view life with a new sense of perception as you mentally replay the decisions the fool made over and over in your mind.
Some foolish people do learn from their mistakes, and this is amazing to watch as the transition occurs. A clearer picture of mental reality begins to form as the mind awakens. A new world is now being revealed to eyes which were blinded by life's past experiences. Now the soul is beginning to prosper and evolve just the way it was intended.
Every situation in life happens for a reason, there are no coincidences. Whether it's understood or not this is what life is all about. Life is filled with many cycles of growth and experience. Once the correct outcome occurs in a particular cycle, another cycle of life can begin. Each time one door is closed, another door is opened in its place. The key to life is the ability to see these open doors, and the courage and faith to close others emotional doors which have passed beyond our control.
How can you avoid being a fool?
No one wants to be a fool, but how can you avoid it? Pride is the emotion which silences many minds. Afraid to communicate exactly what's on your mind is very detrimental to the soul. The ability to communicate your thoughts and to listen to others is a key point in not playing the part of a fool.
The old adage that states "even a fish could avoid trouble, if it kept its mouth shut long enough" seems to hit home for some people. Emotions run high as the first thing is said that pops into the mind. Now looking back, some of these things which were said were hurtful and not very pleasant. These things were only said to preserve the hurt feelings of self again.
Be conscious of your words when you speak. Don't be extremely hasty in your opinions. Words can hurt others "more" than those proverbial sticks and stones. Let your heart be open to the possibilities of life.
Listen to the inner most thoughts in your mind. Mental intuition is just waiting to be heard. All that's needed is the ability to shut down all of these destructive thought patterns which rule the mind. Learn to be mentally conscious of your thoughts before you react on them and make another poor decision that you'll regret later.
Open your mind to the possibility of other opinions. Speak your mind, but also listen to the opinions of others. Everyone needs someone to communicate with in order to release the inner turmoil of their lives; and you're no different than anyone else. Learn to open up your heart and also your mind to loved ones. This builds the emotion of trust when you open your heart and soul to someone.
In the end the fool is left to live life alone, or with other fools. Although they know exactly what they did wrong, the true fool can never accept this. What the fool missed is the love which is shared and passed along to others in the journey of life.
Sometimes our lessons in life are not recognized almost until the very end. This is the part of life when the soul reflects back on your accomplishments, and also your failures. Maybe this is why the foolish were sent in the first place, so that you could learn from the fool and their many failures in life.
