How to make a baby to tester for an older sibling is quite easy. To start with you can get almost anything you want to do this with as long as it is cylinder in shape. We used the cardboard from an empty toilet paper roll because this gives the older sibling a way to personalize their baby toy tester. You can let them paint it or color it or even put some tissue paper on it. If you have some spare tissue paper and a glue stick you can make this baby toy tester and real eye pleaser for your older sibling. They can do it themselves and really enjoy the fact that they are doing something for the new coming baby and feel like they really are a part of the new baby's life. Let them put it on the dresser or some place in the baby's room so they can reach it for quicker access to make sure it is a safe toy for the baby. Explain to the older sibling that things like a pacifier don't really count for the or a brush or a comb because when the baby is a little older and has mastered the holding skill then it can handle these things. Now back to the coloring or painting of the new baby toy tester. This idea can cost you as little as five dollars or as much as you want to spend to be extravagant about it. I went to the dollar store and bought paints and paint brushes and let my son pick them out for his sister's toy tester. When you get home put down some newspaper or wax paper, I have found that wax paper works best because the paint can absorb to it but not stick and melt it's way through to your table. Once the painting part is done let it dry and then get out some tissue paper or even let the older sibling paint some other paper and cut it out and paste in on with the glue stick. This is the fun part because once you are done decorating it then you get to put it to the test. The object is to find about ten things in the house that will not fit through this new baby toy tester and explain to the older sibling that if it fits into the new baby toy tester that it is too small for the new baby and that the new baby can choke on it and we don't want that to happen but to always ask the mommy or daddy before you give anything to the new baby even if it doesn't fit into the new baby toy tester because sometimes it might have sharp edges on it and hurt the baby. When that one gets to old to use enjoy making another one.
