As an American taxpayer I for one am OUTRAGED, at the thought that out of the millions in Tax payer dollars for that bail out money that went to AIG. AIG has saw fit to pay 165 billion of that Money in terms of bonus's to their employee's. The Obama Administration efforts to convince the Chairman of AIG Edward J. Liddy was answered by an incredulous response from that corporation.
Chairman Liddy told the Administration that there was nothing that could be done about the bonus. It was contractual law. Chairman Liddy's argument ran along the lines that if you did not pay the bonus's, to their employee's, the employee's would leave the corporation, and go to other corporation's.
That argument frankly is BULL out of the 40 employees who have received their bonus, 11 have already left AIG with the bonus in their hands. With the highest unemployment rate among the financial and Insurance field, and across our nation that unemployment figures are over 4 million Americans are now Unemployed, do you think that those employee's would be so quick to jump ship at this time.
I say let AIG file for bankruptcy and then that contract can be changed under the bankruptcy Court's. There is no company that is to big to fail. My response to Chairman Liddy and the employee's Of AIG, is look up the telephone number for your local state unemployment office and get in line, with the rest of the 4 million Americans on unemployment.
This bonus plan is a major slap in the face to the American tax payer, the American government, If we do not send a strong message back to AIG, and Corporate America, we can only expect to see more of the same greed and tone deafness for Corporate America.
Chairman Liddy , we will respect your contract law theory, but here is our contract law with AIG "Already its Gone".
Here is my proposition to the American public and American tax payers, as well as all the writers here at Associated Content. Our contract between us the consumer and AIG will be the following;
"I the American consumer, and tax payer, will no longer be supporting your AIG Corporation services and products. I will not use my hard earn tax payer dollars to fund your, FILTHY, GREEDY, HUBEROUS, bonus plans.
"I will be boycotting your corporation. I will be sending to 50 of my family and friends this Contract and ask them to send, and sign their own contract, and reach out to 50 of their family and friends, send a message to AIG.
Here is the address of Chairman Edward J. Liddy.; 70 Pine Street, NY, NY 10005, The telephone Number for AIG is (212) 770-7000. Make sure you call them and tell AIG "Already its Gone" Tell Aig, what you think of their bonus plan.
AIG is like that rich spoiled brat/bully in your local neighborhood who feels that they are entitled To get away with everything because they are "too big to fail". It is time that we as the American consumer takes back some control over our lives.
We need to send a strong message to AIG and corporate America and the politicians in Washington who allowed this wild west of a deregulated pyramid scheme of finance to nearly destroy our credit system and economy. That message is we are mad as hell and we are not going to take this fleecing of American anymore. My message to AIG is LET THEM FAIL.
