Once on vacation you will get up late, you may skip the workouts as well, have a lazy day, and forget the office, the workout, the dietary food, and the result shows around your waist. Now the vacation is over.
You have to get back to work. But, your mind is still not adjusting to the new timetable. And your body is not compromising as well. You are feeling that your favorite pair of jeans is tight at the waist. You may be wondering the reasons behind it.
The pizzas, the ice creams and the burgers that you overate on vacation are showing their true color now. How to get back on track after a vacation is bothering you now. Here are a few tips to help you come back on track.
You have to mentally prepare yourself a few days before you start going to work. You have to prepare your mind for the inevitable, particularly if you are compelled to work in an atmosphere not liked by you. Start getting up at least 30-45 minutes early.
You can workout for a shorter duration than usual because your body has to adjust to the workouts after a long interval. Eat a nutritious break fast that contains a lot of fruit juices and avoid deep fried items. Prepare your lunch to carry to the workplace. If you skip carrying lunch you may be tempted to eat junk foods that again is harmful to your body and adds weight to your body. Try eating more of fibrous meal so that the digestion of food does not pose any problem.
Having prepared your mind to the working atmosphere turn towards the various must do things. Take a walk to your neighbors and thank them for having had an eye on your house during your absence. It would be nice to gift your home sitter as well.
It always happens that the bills for various services will come only during your absence. Check you mailbox and e mails to attend to the bill settlement. Tell your friends and relatives that you are back home safe from the vacation.
They may be worrying you about you. The valuables or an artifact that you purchased during the vacation is important. Keep them in a safe place. So also the travel documents like your passport needs to be safe kept.
The most hated work after the vacation is the unpacking. However, you hate it you have to do it. Finish it off fast so that the same old clothes need not be worn after the vacation.
The one friend that misses you is your green plants. Water them as soon as you come back after vacation. You have to fill up the fridge for the day to day use. Go shopping for groceries and vegetables.
Make sure you buy a lot of green vegetables so that your dependence on weight increasing pizzas is avoided. It is inevitable to come back on track and to the same grind after vacation. It is the reason that the vacation is so important to recharge your energy and make you a new person.
