How to make a balloon arch.

A balloon arch can make a real impact on an event, a signature stand alone work of art.

Below is a guide to help you create a beautiful balloon arch, if you're a beginner, you may need a helper to start with, but you'll soon get the hang of it.

You will need:

Helium quality balloons

A canister of helium

Fishing wire

Carpet hooks or weights to tie the arch to

Scissors

1. Decide on the length if wire that you will need, this will depend on the width and height you want your arch to be, measure this amount and leave at least 6 inches either end for carpet hooks and adjustments.
2. Tie one end of the fishing wire to a carpet hook and bend the hook so that the wire will not slide off and insert the hook into the carpet where one end of your arch will be.

If you are using weights, simply tie one end of the wire to a weight and place it where one end of the arch will be.

1. Inflate a balloon and tie it near the end of the arch, tie it so you can slide it up and down. Slide right to the end of the arch that has been weighted or hooked. Tie another balloon just slightly above it, and slide it close to the other one so that the sides of the balloon just touch, but they stand up straight.

Repeat the process until the wire is full of balloons and tie the other end to the weight or carpet hook, adjust until the arch looks even.
