How to Bargain Hunt Online

Eric Costa
During tough economic times we are all looking for a deal. The internet is a great place to find deals on expensive items. By using any of the methods below you can acquire expensive stuff for cheap prices. Just about anyone could use any of the following methods:

1) PriceGrabber.com- PriceGrabber is a great way to compare prices of things you want to buy. Search for anything! It's a great way to compare sites and find the cheapest prices.

2) Emails with Discounts- Here is a web marketing industry secret. It's a simple method. Sign up for an account on a website that you want to shop on. Login, shop around, and put a few things in your shopping cart. Instead of buying the items right away, wait a day or two. Not all companies do this but some companies will send you an email with extra incentives to make the purchase. Something to the effect of "We noticed you have some items in your shopping cart" come back and complete your purchase and we will give you an additional 10% off. Give it a shot, its worth a try!

3) Online Coupons- There are tons of places online that have coupons for the item you may potentially be buying. For instance if you are purchasing something from Omaha Steaks you can type into google, "Omaha Steaks Coupons" and many sites including couponcabin.com and couponmountain.com could have coupons. I have saved tons of money by finding coupons for things I am buying online.

4) Craigslist- No shame in getting it second hand! If you can find an item you want on Craigslist you can potentially save tons of money. I've saved tons of money using craigslist and have gotten many quality items.

5) Ebay- Ebay is a great auction website that will allow you to save on just about any item you can think of. I've bought 50+ items on ebay ranging from books to DVD's and have saved tons of money. A lot of times I got the items Brand New at deeply discounted prices.

Remember with a little research you can always find it cheaper online. Happy hunting!
