How to Make Bath Products for Children - Bubble Bath, Soap Crayons, and Bath Toys

Turn Bath Time into Fun Time

Do you have a hard time getting your little ones into the bath? Has bath time in your house become a hectic ritual accompanied by screams of protest? Turn bath time into a fun experience by implementing a few bath products that will have the kids begging to take their next bath. Below are some bath products for children that you can easily make at home. They are made with safe non-toxic ingredients that can be easily acquired.

Soap Crayons

1 3/4 C Ivory Snow Flakes
1/4 C Water
50 Drops Food coloring
Directions - Mix all ingredients. You can form them into shapes and let them harden or place in an ice cube tray to harden.

Calming Bubble Bath

1 cup liquid castile soap
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon glycerin
6 drops essential oil of choice
Directions - Mix all of the ingredients together. Store in a container with a lid. An empty shampoo bottle works great. Castile soap is made from natural, plant-based oils such as olive, coconut, and jojoba. Glycerin attracts moisture to the skin, leaving the skin soft. Essential oils that you can add which have a relaxing and calming affect are chamomile, lavender, and neroli.

Basic Bubble Bath

1/2 c. Ivory Snow liquid
1/2 tsp. glycerine
6 drops food coloring
1 c. epsom salt
Directions - Mix all of the above ingredients together. Store in a container with a lid. An empty shampoo bottle works great.
Bath Toys
Foam Sheets in various colors
pencil
scissors

Bath time should also include some play time and these easy to make bath toys are perfect for water play and can be educational as well. The foam sheets can be purchased at any craft store as well as many department stores. They are very inexpensive. Cut out letters for spelling, numbers for counting and cut into many different fun shapes. When wet they stick nicely to the bath tub walls.
