I have always had a hard time getting my bathroom toilet to sparkle. I have used all kinds of products to accomplish this, but it still always looks dingy. I have tried brushing, soaking and scrubbing and nothing works !
Recently while at my local Wal-mart, I decided to purchase Kaboom Bowl Blaster. It is a foaming toilet cleaner. I have seen a bunch of commercials with Billy Mays, who markets Kaboom products. I decided to try it out.
You fill about 1/3 of the top of the lid with the Kaboom powder. It instantly foams to the top of the bowl as soon as it makes contact with the water in the toilet bowl. The entire bowl is encased in this foam. After a few minutes you can either flush or brush.
If you choose to flush, you can do so after about 5 minutes. This allows the foam to self clean the toilet. Once you flush you will see how sparkly your toilet is. This method is used for refreshing your toilet or for a touch-up.
If you choose to brush you should let the foam sit for about 2 minutes. This allows the foaming cleaner to loosen set in stains. Once the two minutes are up, return and scrub your toilet with a toilet brush. Once you are finished flush. Your toilet will smell good and sparkle.
Recently I started using a few mixtures of cleaners to get my bathtub clean. First I spray Tilex in each of the corners of the tub (where the tub meet the walls. Next I pour Comet onto the floor of the tub. I take Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and spray horizontal lines about 5 inches apart on each of the three walls of the tub. The Scrubbing Bubbles helps to get rid of soap scum. I then run warm water onto the floor of the tub so that I can scrub the tub with the Comet.
Once I finish scrubbing the tub, I run water to rinse the tub. Next I take my shower head (which is detachable, on a hose) and rinse the sides of the tub to remove both the Scrubbing Bubbles and Tilex. Once I finish with this, I rinse the tub one more time to remove any residual Comet.
My bathroom sparkles after I do this ! It is an easy, efficient way to clean your bathroom tub and toilet quickly.
