Paintball is a game of speed, action, and when the game is slowed down, camouflage and strategy. Paintballs popularity has been progressively growing for some time now, mainly because of the thrill that it gives those that participate in it. You can find videos of paintball all over the internet, and every once in a while you may get lucky to catch some on television. There are countless tournaments everywhere, and unlimited fields to get a good game going. However if you want to enjoy playing paintball more then you already do then there are a few things you may want to take into consideration including fitness, your gun, and your mind set.

The type of equipment you use can have so much effect on how good of a player you are. First of all it seems pretty obvious that if you choose to purchase a cheaper gun the game is going to be a lot harder for you. Those cheaper guns will chop paint, or break paintballs as they are shot, they will have poor accuracy, and limited options for customization. When you purchase a quality gun you will have something you can rely on. The nicer guns will do exactly the opposite of the cheap guns. Very little paint will be chopped, accuracy will be better, and the different things you can customize are almost endless.

The type of gun you choose also has something to do with the type of player you are. If you happen to be a run and gun player you may want to look into a fully automatic gun with special type feeders and other customizations. With this type of gun you can fire a lot more a lot quicker. The positives of that are more opportunity to hit the target, but also a better way to cover yourself when moving locations. If you happen to be a player that likes to sit back and keep an eye on everything and then snipe someone once they get close then you may want to look into a semi auto gun with a sniper barrel. This type of barrel will increase accuracy drastically giving you a better chance to pick a player off from a further distance.

Like I said before paintball is a game of speed. If you are not in shape how can you have the speed needed for this game. You are going to be running during a lot of the game, so if you are not in shape you are going to be an easy target. Even if you plan on sniping you still need to be in shape because first of all you are going to need to get to your vantage point quickly to avoid being seen. Second if you get spotted and need to move, you need to be able to move quickly. Now I'm not telling people to go out and run so they can play recreational paintball, but if you are involved in other things, then you will be a better paintball player.

Paintball is not only about the type of equipment that you use, and you physical capacity, but the way you think. The majority of paintball is strategy. If you don't think about your actions then you might as well go out there and play with a big target painted on an orange jumpsuit. Every action you do must be thought out to make sure that one you are not seen if you are still maintaining stealth, or two that you will not get shot if you are currently being shot at. It is smarter to hold your ground and defend rather then try to go on the offensive if it is almost certain that you will be shot.

The popularity in paintball has been growing steadily for quite a while. This game of action that involves not only speed, but strategy as well is a game that many people want to get into. Some people like to just go out there and shoot at each other, while others want to have extremely competitive games. For those of you that love the competition of paintball you are going to want to make sure you have the appropriate equipment. You need to make sure that you are in shape and that you thoroughly think through your decisions.
