STEP 2: Search online for new recipes and try your hand at making them. It doesn't have to be perfect the first time. As long as you get some experience to take with you for the next time you cook that's all you can ask for. The more you cook the more you'll start learning what spices taste good on certain foods and when a particular item needs more or less of a seasoning.
STEP 3: Watch cooking shows. Not only is it fun to watch other people cooking delicious food, but it can be exciting to know that what they make YOU can also create if you pay attention. Just follow their methods and give it a shot. It's definitely best to find a cooking channel that provides easy, healthy meals so that you don't get in over your head from the get-go. Often the fitness channel will have cooking shows at different times that you could try checking out.
STEP 4: If you are really desperate you can even purchase cooking videos to help you get started. Just Google "cooking DVDs" or "cooking videos" and see what comes up. After searching through them, more than likely you will find one or two that suite your tastes.
