How to Become an MRI Operator

The MRI operator is responsible for operating and monitoring diagnostic imaging equipments during examination of patients conducted by the physicians in hospitals, clinics or other health care centers. With the advancement in technology many modern machines are being used in the medical field. These machines need highly qualified and trained technicians to handle the operating. These trained technicians need to provide the health care professionals with information they need to make the accurate diagnosis of the disease. To take up a course in this field the person requires good knowledge of subjects like chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology. The MRI operator is trained for evaluating the radio-graphs, video tape, positioning the patient for examination, operating a fluoroscope, filling automatic injectors, monitoring the video display of body area, starting the filming sequence and reviewing the developed X-Ray quality. With proper training the technician can easily handle all these jobs.
