When first meeting your date, always go up to the door and meet her. Give her a hug and let her know that you are glad to see her. Opening the car door and all doors for her in general is a must when possible and will certainly delight your date. If you meet her parents, addressing them as sir and m'am at first will generally lead to a good first impression. Always insist to pay for her whether it's a movie or dinner, even if it is the simplest thing. If she insists on paying herself, let her, but don't make a habit out of it because being raised in the South means women should not have to pay for things such as dinner. Refraining from cursing around them at first is polite, and you should wait until you at least are comfortable with your date to curse every now and then. Constant bad language is a turn off to most women, so keep the cursing to a minimum.
When in public with your date, never comment on how good looking another female is. You are there to be with her and not check out other women where you are, make sure that she knows she is the focus of the night and not some random person. Remember that the first date isn't always the right time for the first kiss so wait for it. When and if the time is right, then it will happen. Let your date know they are beautiful no matter what and compliment them when they look nice. At the end of the night, walk your date to the door to make sure she gets there safely. Depending on how things are, make sure to hug or kiss her goodnight. If she asks you to come inside for a minute, then go ahead but do not simply invite yourself in uninvited. The bottom line is to simply be as courteous as possible and to make your date feel comfortable around you, in order to have the best time possible.
The first impression is always the most important impression when meeting a potential companion. Above are some simple steps to making that good first impression and becoming a gentleman to women. Using these steps will hopefully show women that there are still good guys out there, and maybe for once the good guys won't finish last.

This is really what I think every girl really wants (I know I do), a man that treats her with respect.
Nice article. Hope there are still girls out there who appreciate this sort of treatment.
