Start Wrestling In School
If you look at most of the professionals that play in other sports such as basketball and football, you will see that they all started playing for their school team. This is the same case with wrestling. Learning to wrestle on a school team will help you learn the fundamentals of wrestling. It will help develop you to be a great athlete in the sport and it will also help condition your body. You can usually start to participate in wrestling on a Jr high level and then you can work your way up to the college level. Grasping the fundamentals of high school wrestling will help come a long way in your pursuit of your pro wrestling journey.
Join A Pro Wrestling Academy
Unless you are trying to wrestle in the Olympics, your high school wrestling record will not get you far, so after you have wrestled for a high school and you would still like to be a pro wrestler, you need to go to a place where they train pro wrestlers. These institutes are called pro wrestling academies or pro wrestling schools. The tuition for the schools can range anywhere from $2000-$5000. In these schools they will teach you what you need to know about the professional wrestling business. They will also help you come up with a gimmick to help promote yourself. Finding these schools are not as tough as you may think. All you have to do is do a Google search and look up pro wrestling academy or pro wrestling school.
Try to get on an Independent wrestling circuit
After you have gone to a pro wrestling school, it is now time for you to try to get on a wrestling circuit. There are plenty of independent wrestling circuits that are looking for talented new superstars. The first place you should start with is the wrestling academy. Ask the person who runs the company if they have an independent circuit and if so join theirs. If they do not have one, you can do a Google search and find out about different independent wrestling circuits. Joining an independent circuit is important because the big guys like the WWE and TNA are always scouting these places looking for new talent. With you being on these circuits, it can be a great way for you to get discovered.
There you have it. This is a great way for you to start if you are trying to get into professional wrestling. It will take hard work and dedication, but if you keep pushing, you will reach your end goal.
