The first thing on your agenda is to familiarize yourself with wealthy people. Obviously there is no way to meet them all personally but you can discover for yourself where they work and what they do. Fortune Magazine is an inviting look into the world of the fabulously wealthy. In their March 17, 2008, edition we are presented with a keen, knowledgeable look at industry. Fortune magazines list of the twenty most admired companies are:

Apple leads the list with 24 billion in sales deals in computers and has CEO Steve Jobs, recovering from pancreatic cancer to thank for it.

Berkshire Hathaway is a leader in insurance with Warren Buffett as mastermind and CEO Don Graham

General Electric has branched out into financial services and is a 173 billion dollar company.

Google is the big brother of the web and has a motto of "Do No Evil" just gives us the profits.

Toyota Motor led with the most worldwide sales.

Starbucks is keeping its own.

Fed Ex has added solar energy.

Proctor & Gamble using A G Lafley has doubled its stock price during his watch.

Johnson & Johnson has 61 billion selling health products.

Goldman Sachs leads in insider banking.

Target had 60 billion in cheap clothes.

Southwest Airlines made a mint on cheap flights

American Express kept its wallet during the credit slump.

BMW prides itself on German luxury cars.

Costco with CEO James Senegal had 64 billion in wholesale sales.

Microsoft reeling from Google's emergence tried to buy Yahoo with a bid of 45 billion.

If you really really want to be wealthy you need to be interested in these facts. If they bore you you probably won't do much than pump gas.
