There are many important factors when considering to become a web designer. Essentially a web designer's job is creating content for the Internet. It can be said a web designer is a frontline soldier for the new media.

So, you might be asking, "How do I become a web-designer?"

One. You could potentially influence more of your fellow human beings throughout the planet, than a well funded mass media organization did just twenty years ago. There is an incredible opportunity to help not just yourself, but others to distribute valuable information helping to empower everyone concerned.

Two. The first thing you need to do to become a web designer is, become familiar with the computer as if it's a second extension of your body. Most importantly, it's critical that your familiar with a variety of different web browsers. Right now the three most used web browsers are Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Mac's Safari browser.

Three. Learning a basic programming language is critical to begin a career as a web designer. For example, HTML stands for hypertext markup language. HTML is the programming language that is standard for developing web pages. Furthermore, programming languages such as XML and JavaScript will be languages that you would naturally progress into after becoming familiar with HTML.

Four. Become familiar with Adobe Photoshop or other similar software packages that allow you to modify, edit photos, and aids you in creating illustrations. You'll find any type of these software packages will be a critical supplement as a web designer.

Five. Adobe Flash formally known as Macromedia Flash, is the software that is used to create all the animations and advertisements that you see on the Internet today. There are other programs that are able to perform the same thing. However, Adobe products have become the industry standard for web design and graphic design, and has an huge amount of positive feedback from many successful web designers.
