How to Get Big Arms

A Simple Method to Getting Big Arms

Seth Joyner
So you want to have big bulky bulging arms do ya? Well, then there are probably some principles and techniques that you're going to have to know if you want really big arms. Having big arms isn't always necessarily about the amount of inches you have on your arms, but rather the appearance of having big arms. Right off the bat in order to have big arms you need to have a low body fat percentage that will showcase the peak of your bicep and the horse shoe shape of your tricep. One of the most important factors to getting big arms or any size to your muscles is your diet and intake of protein along with healing. To have big arms you need to give yourself proper time to heal, now I know everyone wants big arms overnight; but that's just not possible naturally. However it is possible to get tremendous gains in a short amount of time if you use legal steroids and I will provide those links at the end of the article to proven reputable companies I have used before.

So, starting off is your diet, what do you need to eat? In order to have big arms you need to eat high protein foods without a bunch of calories. So, what are they? Your going to be somewhat limited in this department. You can eat things like raw egg whites (just crack the shell and let the egg white fall into a cup and mix fruit juice in with it and maybe some creatine about an hour before your intended workout), tuna, sardines, and other lean fish like talapia and boneless skinless chicken breast.

One thing to remember when you're working out to get big arms is that you have to do more than your biceps, your triceps are incidentally the key part of the arm. Your triceps make up 2/3 of your arms, so if you want big arms you're going to have to kill those things. Some good exercises to do for big triceps are tricep pull downs, bench press, military press, and skull crushers. If you don't know what these exercise are then you need to ask someone at the gym or look them up online. You should do a good warm up and use moderately heavy weight, if you can do more than 8-10 reps then you need to go heavier. The real way to do it is to do a quick warm up to get the blood circulating in your arms and then go for the heaviest weight right off the bat. Do as many sets with that weight as possible, then drop it down 5-10lbs and do it again. Do as many sets as you can with the heaviest weight dropping 5-10lbs every time. Force reps will help out the most when your doing things like dumbbell presses (you want to do them incline, decline, and flat bench), skull crushers, and bench press. Work out with a friend or don't be afraid to ask for help when you're trying to get big arms. You especially need a spot for the bench press and the skull crushers.

Moving onto your biceps. This is part of having big arms and is fundamental to doing so. Free weights are the only way to go for biceps, you want to incorporate as many stabilizer muscles as possible when you're trying to create big arms. Dumbbell curls with heavy weight are very effective, but again for the biggest gains you need to use the heaviest weight possible that you can effectively curl with the aid of a spotter standing in front of you. Make sure you use two dumbbells when doing this so you have a way to stabilize your self. Don't cheat by slinging the weight up and down with momentum, do it slow and controlled; that's why you have the spotter to help you force rep. Preacher curls with a curved bar are another good way to work the different muscles of your biceps to make big arms.

After you work out your biceps it's a great idea to hit reverse curls on a curve bar, this will work the outside of your bicep quite good as well the added benefit of working the outside of your forearm. Reverse curls are a must for big arms, remember to start out with that heavy weight and only decrease it 5-10lbs in between your sets. Give your arms ample time between sets, we're trying to make as many tears in the muscle as possible.

After you've worked out your biceps it's time to hit the fore arms, all you need to do with forearms is wrist curls using heavy weight and coming back down. It's very easy to get a good pump when doing forearms and they seem to grow easily. When you're going for big arms you don't want to work out the whole arm in one day. Do triceps after you've done bench press on chest day and you can workout biceps and forearms on an ab and back day. Remember to drink plenty of water and take in as much protein as you can about an hour before your workout and no later than an hour after your workout. You'll have big arms in no time. Remember the key principles: heavy weight, super setting, lots of protein, and force reps and you'll be happily on your way to big arms. Don't forget the legal steroids if you're going to try that road.
