Getting bigger arms is something that many men would like to do, but don't seem to have the knowledge on how to do it. This article will help explain how to get bigger arms and help squelch some tall tales about getting bigger arms.
1. How to properly work out
Obviously working out is necessary to get bigger arms, but many people are clueless on how to work out properly. People that train for strength, or powerlifters, usually do anywhere from 2-6 repetitions on any given excercise. People that train for size and definition usually do anywhere from 6-12 repetitions on any given excercise. If your goal is to get bigger arms, you fall in the category of people who should do 6-12 repetions on workouts. Biceps and Triceps are relatively small muscles, so 9-12 sets per muscle is recommended for bigger arms. Shoulders are best when grouped together with the trap (neck muscles), when training for bigger arms, and thus anywhere from 12-18 sets is good when training these particular muscle groups.
2. Dont neglect other muscle groups
In order to get bigger arms, it is necessary to train the other parts of your body as well. Muscle needs 2-3 days to recover after it is trained, and as such you won't be able to train your arms every day. Training any part of your body realeases growth hormonses throughout your body, increasing your ability to get bigger arms. Remember not to neglect any part of your arms as well (don't only train your biceps like a lot of people you'll see in the gym).
3. Nutrition
Working out properly is only half the battle, if that. Without proper nutrition it won't matter how perfect your bigger arm workout plan is; you won't see results. Protein contains the building blocks for muscles, and thus it is necessary to consume 1-1.8 grams of protein per pound of body weight daily. Fat rich in healthy fatty acids plays a vital role in the lowering of body fat and the maintenance of bodily fluids and testosterone. Carbohydrates are very important and should not be neglected as you will need energy for your bigger arm workouts.
4. Rest
Your arms that are becoming bigger will have no chance to grow if they don't have proper rest. Try to get 8-12 hours of sleep a day, as muscles need a good night sleep in order to grow. Rest is also important in your workouts; never train the same muscle group twice within a 5 day period.
Follow these 4 easy steps and you are following the road to bigger arms!
