Below are the basic instructions on how to charge your seeds and then be able to produce a healthy plant that was blessed specifically to be used in magick.
1. Choose a purpose - It could be love, luck, fertility, friendship, protection, etc.
2. Choose a plant - A little research or knowledge will help you figure out the best plant to use. It should be one that fits your purpose and can grow in your environment and location.
3. Buy the seeds - I recommend going online and buying organic seeds for your magickal plant. They do not cost much more than seeds grown with pesticides. I recently bought organic oregano seeds at parkseed.com for under $2 and it had 50 seeds in the packet.
4. When the seeds arrive open the packet and lay them on a special dish on your altar or choose a place like a dresser or shelf in your home to set them on. Do one kind of herb seed at a time.
5. Surround the seeds with pictures, symbols, runes, tarot cards or crystals that correspond with your magickal purpose of the seeds. You do not have to do the whole packet at once. Only do as many seeds as you will need for this specific purpose.
6. Light a sage bundle and let the smoke cover the seeds and everything surrounding them.
7. Find a comfortable place to sit upright in. Sitting on a chair with a table in front of you is best for me or you can sit on the floor if you prefer. After you find a spot place the seeds in front of you within arms reach.
8. Relax or meditate to help clear your mind. You want to be in a calm, peaceful state.
9. Hold your hands just above the seeds. Visualize your plant growing. See it becoming strong and healthy. Imagine using the plant for your special purpose. Hold these images in your mind as long as you can while also focusing on the thoughts leaving you through your hands and entering the seeds. Try to give the seeds instructions as to what you want them to do when their at the right stage in their life cycle. The key is to show them what to do by visualizing rather than just saying "I want you to bring me love". Picture in your mind the seeds growing up, becoming a beautiful plant and then being used for your purpose.
10. Do the above step for at least 10 minutes. Place the dish of seeds back where you smudged them with sage on your alter, shelf or table.
11. Place a white cloth over the seeds. Arrange the corresponding objects close to them Let them mingle together for at least three days. Each day go back to your seeds and repeat steps 7 through 11.
12. After three days have passed store the seeds in a dark container such as a film canister until you're ready to plant.
13. While growing the plant from a seed take good care of it until the plant dies. This could be years or months depending on what you chose to grow. The plants needs food, water and light to be healthy. If you neglect your plant and then try to harvest the leaves or some other part of it you might not get the results you want.
