How to Make Your Blog Fascinating

Joshua Ska
If you want lots of high quality blog traffic, with plenty of repeat visitors, you need to be writing great posts that will keep people interested. Good articles will not only bring your visitors running back (or better yet, get them subscribing to your RSS feed) but it will also have them talking about you to their friends and family.

Truly fascinating blog posts actually become viral and pretty soon everyone and their dog is linking to your incredible post! This means higher PR rankings, more hits and better rates at paid blogging sites like Pay Per Post or Blogsvertise. So how do you get such incredible posts? It's easier than you think.

Information is vital in a great blog post. If you really want to lure the crowds, don't be vague and refer everyone to an affiliate link. Instead, give them high quality, useful information that they can take and use immediately. For example, if you run an SEO blog, you can write a step-by-step guide on how to bump your PR from 0-3 in three months. People can follow the steps in your guide and they will be happy to link to you from their own blogs, sharing your knowledge with their readers.

Another good way to get people spreading your URL all over the internet is to offer a challenge or a contest. There are many good ones going around right now, like the $100 Challenge, where you have to choose a project to earn $100 by the end of the year. You can start your own challenge and have people link back to you as they participate.

Shock them. Giving people something weird and amazing to look at or read is always a big hit. If you aren't very good at shocking people on your own, try looking at YouTube or other related video sites to see if you can't find something interesting that your readers might like and that will have them blabbing about you to all their friends.

Make your readers laugh and they will swear that you have the best blog online! You can collect jokes and funny videos from other websites and blogs (with appropriate credit given, of course) and post them on your blog, in case you aren't particularly funny. However, if you have been blessed with the gift of comedy, go ahead and write hilarious posts that will have your visitors falling off their chairs.

Keeping people interested in your blog is one of the first rules of blogging. You can do it through laughter, shock or info, but just make sure they stay entertained and fascinated by your blog.
