How to Bluff in Texas Hold'em Tournaments (Unlimited Only)

Some of the best tournament poker players in the world have had more than their share of bluffing. Bluffing, in definition, is just a cute way of saying lying to others. A Bluff, in poker, is basically a call or bet that a player will make, knowing that his hand is definitely not top dog. this type of betting is not associated with making a call to see who bites, though. For example, if i have an Ace, Ten and the flop comes out 8,10,J, then I will bet to see if anyone will call. this kills the chasers and the runners ,(Ace, Queen, for example), from staying in the game.
A bluff call is someone who is trying to buy the pot by either making a bet, or making a HUGE raise on top of a bet, although they have nothing in their hand.

As of to date, I have never met another poker player who has not bluffed a bet. Every famous player has bluffed, everyday players have bluffed, even my grandma has bluffed when it came to playing cards. There is nothing Illegal about bluffing. as far as I'm concerned, it's part of the game.

Strategies and tools

The art of concealment makes a bluffer harder to reveal. Glasses make the best concealment, since we all know your eyes are the windows to your...., well, you know what I mean. People generally are bad liars, so in Texas Hold'em, A lot of players use everything they can to stifle their body language when bluffing, even going as far as dressing in hoodies, wearing hats, and often, folding their hands. This is also your best advantage to know this. You can actually send off a wrong signal on purposely, giving your opponent a bad signal. Position, mentioned a lot in my articles, is always top dog when bluffing you will more often see a big blind raise more than any other player.

Rules of Thumb

The best rule of thumb when bluffing is this:
Don't be afraid to fold once you are caught. Most players become ashamed and get caught calling raises after the bluff. Also, always change your style. Too many players are called out because they only know one kind of bluff. Your call doesn't have to be the same. Don't think that no one will ever call you either. Only thing good about a bluff call is that you still might have a chance, until the river, that is.

OVERALL

If you are going to bluff, be careful. Play your bluff in a good position with an opponent you know well. Bluffs do pay off, but they can also take away.
please play responsibly.
