How to Boost Your Immune System

Have you ever known someone who always seems to have a cold or flue? Maybe you know someone who is constantly tired or just pain unhealthy. These unfortunate people may have a weak immune system.The immune system is the protector of your health. If the immune system is weak you will be susceptible to every germ and bacteria that comes your way. As a result, you will be a generally unhealthy person. We all want to be healthy and energetic but to make it a reality we have to put forth a little effort.

Keeping your immune system strong and healthy is imperative to your over all health. Many different factors come into play when the goal is strengthening the immune system. A healthy diet full of the right nutritional foods is the cornerstone for building healthy cells. Deep breathing and fresh air replenish the oxygen that our body needs. Regular exercise is the best way to boost your oxygen intake and also increases cardiovascular health along with helping you lose those extra pounds

Vitamins C,E and A are Known as antioxidants. These are important in stimulating immunity and neutralizing free radicals. Antioxidants are indispensable in protecting our bodies from all manner of disease, even cancer.

Increase your energy with oxygen. Moderate exercise each day will ensure that the cells are receiving plenty of oxygen. Every cell in your body needs oxygen to stay healthy. Oxygen will also help speed the metabolism which results in your body effectively utilizing the nutrients you receive by eating a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals.

Adequate sleep is very important to strengthening the immune system. Without the appropriate amount of sleep your immune system will weaken.

Stress reduction is another important factor. It is widely believed that stress weakens the immune system. You might try a little yoga or meditation to relax. A nice hot bath is an age old stress reliever.

Wash your hands frequently or use a alcohol based hand cleanser to prevent picking up germs and unhealthy bacteria.

Here is one last tip. Keep the indoor humidity level at 30 to 50 percent so your nasal mucus membranes don't dry out. This will help protect the cilia which are the fine hairs that keep germs from entering in through the nasal passages.

Remember your Immune system is Is what keeps you healthy so take good care of it. You will reap the reward of a healthy life.
